Mommy of 3	I used to wear them at night but leaving on ein too long, especially if its a more absorbent one, then it can cause that TSS. It's not healthy. Wearing them and keeping them changed during the day is better thatn wearing a pad but I do pads at night now. It's just better. Vicky	I strongly suggest to not wear them at night. I myself, dont wear them at night. I use pads, they can be yuck as you say, but they actually safer. In advice, if you really want to wear a tampon at night alarm your clock or cellphone so you dont rofget to get it out of there. Because if you dont, i heard somebody got it to in up there, that the doctor said they had to do surgey to get the tampon out inside there body, i believe. so i suggest not too, but pads work well. sometimes they leak and whatso ever, but when you use a pad your safe. it dosent get into your body. so think about it. Bored Enough To Be Here	you get more than 8 hours of sleep?! lucky! go ahead and use a tampon overnight. it's most important to use the right size for your flow, sometimes you might even need tampons and a pad on extra heavy days/nights. if you have a family history of TSS then consult with your doctor. Tampons push wat is suppose to be coming out back in and it sets there ALL night, yeah how gross is that! jus get a nice big maxi pad and sleep with the comfort of knowing you will wake up! cupcake	I know chances of TSS is slim, but in high school my sister's friend's sister got it and died so I never use tampons myself. So I would say don't wear it for that long of a period and get a pad with a weave layer that prevents blood from escaping and also has wings to prevent moving and leakage to use overnight.
