Im 16 years old and 4'11" how much should be my ideal weight?
im 4'11" and 16 years old im currently 140 pounds, ive been working out alot more then usual and ive lost 20 pounds so far. anyone have any workout tips?? Please and thankyouu. :]...

A general guideline is 100 lbs. for being 5 foot and then 5 lbs. for each inch over that. You have to keep in mind though what type of bone structure you have and how muscular you are. (muscle weighs more than fat) It is always a better idea to do a wiggle and jiggle test rather than weigh yourself. Can you wiggle around in your jeans or are they skin tight? Does the flesh on your legs, stomach, etc. jiggle when you jump around? Then, you need to lose weight and/or tone up. Workout tips- Join a sport/activity that requires you to be there on a consistent basis and work out in order to be able to do it. Do sit-ups and push ups every day. (during commercials) Do leg lifts or climb stairs every day. |

i think it depends on your metabolism and your bone size and stuff.. like i am 15, 5'5" and 90 lbs so i think it just depends on your parents and heredity and stuff too. |

about 100. tips: don't loose the weight too quickly. that's unhealthy. bout 1-3 pounds a week, i hear is normal, and very safe! make sure you keep hydrated. and limit the workout to a time. don't spend like 2 hours working out. Take breaks. Stay Safe |

Height/weight charts suggest 90lb-120lb for your age/height. But your body fat percentage is more important than what you weigh, so I would just get your body fat percentage down to 28% or less and that will be healthy. To do this you need to do weight training 3 times a week with cardio on the other days and gets lots of protein in your diet along with plenty of good carbs. Don't eat less than 1,200-1,500 calories per day. Good luck and congratulations on your weight loss so far. |

According to this: http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/guidelines/obesity/bmi_tbl.htm , at 4'11 you should weigh around 100-120 pounds. Seems a little extreme to me (maybe since I'm 5'11"? haha!) Congrats on losing 20 pounds already, that's a big accomplishment!! Keep it up! :D |

Your ideal weight would be around 120 lbs. Walking is a great excercise, or just dancing in your living room for a half hour everyday. |

uuum because you are, im sorry to say it but, so short, i would think ur weight should be about between 100 and 112 it depends if u are athletic and muscular. i am 14 my height is 5'9 and i weight like 115lb so all bodies r different |

I think 115 should be your goal. 4'11 is pretty short.... no offense. And, waht you should do is every day look for your goal. saying " i'm gonna lose 5 pounds today, or this week!" Keep Positive, and stick with your exercising! Your doing greaT! |

An ideal weight for you right now would be from 95 to 123 pounds. For working out, do something that is fun and you don't really notice you're working. Try going to a gym with your best friend (not just for the guys ;) and challenge each other.
