Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. It can range from mild learning disabilities to retardation and deformations. I have met a lot of children effected by this and I want to personally smack their selfish mothers who thought that one night of partying was more importanted then the entire life of their baby.
Of course if you are asking because you just found out you were pregnant and you have been drinking then I really don't know. I would go to a doctor. They still don't know how much alcohol it takes to effect the unborn childs development.

Critics argue the measures will violate individual rights and do little for a fetus already damaged by weeks of drinking.
The causes of fetal alcohol syndrome are unclear, Wilson adds. Alcoholics, especially those living in poverty, often have other health problems that could affect a fetus, she says.

It depends upon the amount and the frequency, but it's not a good idea. Fetal Alcohol Syndrome causes mental retardation and facial deformities.

It can seriously corrupt the womb where your baby is living...and think about the affects on yourself when you drink, the sickness after wards, and the affects that it has on your brain..now think of that 10X's worse. That's what happens when you drink, and are pregnant, not to mention the risk of giving birth to an unhealthy baby boy or girl. Your choice to drink is totally completely up to you, but you are nurturing a baby, and you wouldn't give Alcohol to a toddler, or an infant would you?.. Heres to wishing you a great night and good judgment:)

F A S its a disease that is horrible i learned about it in health and the children cant read even if you drink a bit or your husband had drunk before/during you got pregnant the child will be a slow talker and cant learn anything really-it will be able to talk and comprhend things but it will never read write or learn the alphabet or numbers. plus theres other things to like sids(sudden infant death syndrom)(but then it wouldnt be considered that since the doctors would no it was caused due to drinking well pregnant) talk to your doctor s/he can give you more information to this concern and others

The baby will develope improperly, if you love your child, you won't do it... and babies that do survive it go throught nasty withdrawls, because their bodies crave it, they grow up cranky, and the baby won't know what it wants until it get alcohol inside it's body. The baby will be very sick, it will be costly with hospital bills, it's just better to treat your baby like a HUMAN, and DON'T DO IT! It will be better on both of you!

Alcohol is a potent toxin to a developing fetus, and it can have a very wide range of effects that are too numerous to describe here. The most common are learning disabilities and mental retardation as well as certain physical abnormalities of the brain and face.
Go and look up "Fetal Alcohol Effect" and "Fetal Alcohol Syndrome" for the complete information.
