Nope, I know someone who used to though, she had pretty bad mental health issues (that's not to say that you do!!) and used to pluck all her pubic hair out when stressed or upset - I guess for her it was an OCD thing, I had an ex-boyfriend with OCD who used to pull out all his eyelashes when he was stressed, similar thing, just maybe not as painful.
...and it is not a self-harm thing, totally different psychology at work there.

that is a bit strange, i must say. you could talk to your doctor i s'pose. i think that you could have a slight problem, as it must hurt and if you hurt yourself when stressed then this may lead to self harm in the future. if its is not the pain that de-stresses you, then there may not be any problems in the, but i think you should still talk to some one about it as they may help you to not get stressed as often.
hope this helps

Trim it short so you can't get ahold of it. Do rubber-band snap therapy - put a rubber band around your wrist, then stretch it and snap it whenever you get the urge to yank any short hairs. It has worked for stranger things.
Good luck.

Emmmm....no. Maybe you need to speak to your GP if you are getting too stressed. He may be able to organising counselling and ways of coping with stress that don't involve giving yourself a bald pubic area.

I don't pull out my pubic hair, but I do scratch my arms when I get stressed or tensed! I think it's one of my ways of letting out steam. Not a very healthy way but hey!
Maybe deep breaths or a stress ball might help?

no way, but there are ways to stop doing that such as punch a pilliow, or get a stress ball. or well look them up on the computer besides us on answers. remember it's a habit, just like bitting your nails, picking your bugers, or putting your hands on your face, you'll either have to find a new thing to do, or maybe you irrtated down there and it's time to shave.

It's called Trichotillomania, which is characterized by the urge to pull out hair. Sometimes, and I've personally known women who've done this, it leads to baldness. That's right. They actually pull most or ALL of the hair out. typically, it's the hair on the head that's removed, but others are so affected by this disorder that they become obsessed with removing the hair on their legs, arms, eyebrows, and eyelashes. You need to seek professional help before it gets out of control.
Best wishes!!
