I'm with everyone else Stress can cause it to stop or disappear for a couple of months but stress can also alter a home pregnancy test. So you should go to the doc and get a test done.

under weight and stress can stop your period. I suggest to eat foods high in protein and hang out in front of the TV or PC for about 3 days. You need a little rest and a little food.....smile

For one, pregnancy tests are not always accurate (although 5 of them is really making sure) - but all the same I would recommend you see your doctor for a blood-test which will determine for certain. A friend of mine took 3 pregnancy tests to make sure and all of them sad positive. A blood test proved she was not.
As far as not getting your period, as everyone else has said stress does seem to be to most common reason, but it is ambiguous because so many things come under stress.
High activity, such as sports and laborious work, can increase hormone production in your body and delay (and sometimes even skip) your period. Nutrition has a factor, of course, but generally will not delay your period unless you are eating copious amounts of certain herbs.
The best thing to do is to see your doctor, hopefully you have a relationship with her/him about your general health. Don't be nervous, I am sure they have heard of everything before, and they will definitely be able to give you more information. Good luck with it.

1. Stress
2. Health
3. Overweight
4. Endoscopic pregnancy (not detected by a home test)
5. Age
6. Miscalculation of your period
7. Early menupause
8. Hormones
9. cervical, ovarian, uterine cancer
10. Exercise
***Please note all or none of the above could be the cause for you to be missing your cycle. I would suggest contacting your doctor. If you are more than 3 weeks late, you need to be concerned about this.

well, you need to have a test done at a doctor office. their tests are more reliable. also, stress and being really active can affect it...it all depends on your body. but definitely talk to a doctor.

Well, the first thing is have you rapidly lost or gained weight recently? That will cause your period to cease. Also, with the combination of stress. You can also go see A GYN Dr. and he may perscribe you a medication to have your menstrual come within 2 days.

Stress, diet, anxiety, depression, taking medication also counts. If you think you are pregnant or is hoping to be, I think you checked too soon. Try checking it after a month and a half if it is still negative then you are not.

Stress can cause your period not to come and if you think you may be pregnant you probably took the test too soon.

Well, it cna be stress that delays a period. Your hormones could be off kilter due to cysts on your ovaries. SOmetimes when women get too thin they stop menstruating. Also, when you are young, it can take some time for your period to regulate into a normal cycle.
What will put your mind at east is talking to your doctor. Your doctor can rule out any serious issues, and then you can relax.
Good luck - while it is stressful, it does happen.

stress, poor diet, drugs to be on the safe side go see a doctor, you might even have a blockage, most of the time they can give you a pap smear to look inside to make sure you don't have a cyst.If they do a pregnancy test, by blood and it comes out negative they can give you a shot to make your periods start, but beware when it does start it will be really heavy.Good Luck

Stress, diet change, lifestyle change.
You may have also had a cycle where you did not ovulate. On the other hand..some women never show a positive result on a pregnancy test. You might want to have an HCG bloodtest taken..as there IS the chance you ARE pregnant.
Good luck to you!
