first and foremost, pray.
then go see a doctor
well, most of those things come and go,
perhaps this is one of those.
set your hopes on the best possible outcome honey,
all the best

Could be a cyst? Swollen lymph node? Cancer is a possibility, but why not wait until youve seen the doctor before panicking?

a lump is not necessarily cancerous. there are various kinds of lumps. Some are just a blood clot, others are a clot of fat in the area.
does ur lump pain (sometimes pain enormously), grow or move from a place to other?
What you might want to do is conduct a biopsy. it wud certainly give a definite answer to your concerns. And conduct it as early as possible

Don't worry too much. Good thing you're getting it checked out, but it could just be a benign cyst. Also, there's a severe staph strain going around called MRSA, which can cause painful abscesses in the armpit area. You're wise to see your doctor immediately, but chances are it might not be cancer at all. Good luck!

Best way to know is to get it checked out. Does breast cancer run in your family? It is best to have a knowledgeable person check you out. One of the warning signs of cancer is a lump or thickness in the breast or elsewhere that does not heal. Early detection is essential for a quick cure, you did that so don't fret yourself into another problem.

The chance of it being cancer depends on a lot of factors
* Your age.
* Family history of the same or any other organ cancer.
* How long you got this lump?
* Is it increasing the size?
* Are you on your post ovulation period (just before menstrual cycle)?
Advice:
Go to the GP as planned. Get a biopsy for the confirmation. It can be a fine needle aspiration or a incision biopsy. Wishing you the best for a safe result.

Unfortunately, it is possible. Most are not cancerous though. I know for fact my mother gets one about every year and has got them for the past 20 or 30 years and not one has ever been cancerous. But then again, I got one at 21 and being a male I thought nothing off it. Turned out it was cancerous, but they were able to remove it before any of it spread. So definitely go get checked out as soon as possible.

I know that its hard not to think of breast cancer when you find a lump in your breast. It could be other things too. Actually, painful lumps are rarely signs of breast cancer. It could be a cyst, or an infection or a benign(non-cancerous) lump. Your doctor will probably order a mammogram or an ultrasound or both. If those tests are inconclusive you might even have to have a biopsy. But having a biopsy doesn't mean cancer either, it's just another way to figure out what is going on. Try not to worry to much and I'm glad you are getting it checked out.

you should definitely get it checked out immediately , especially if its painful.it may turn out to be nothing , as women have a lot of tissue on the breasts but its better to be safe than sorry . Even if it is cancer at least , if detected early there will be a bigger chance to be treated . make an appointment .please.
good luck!!!!!

Having pain makes malignancy less likely, as more often cancer is painless lump. Never can be too sure, though. Don't just try, insist on an appointment.
Whine, wheedle, get aggressive, but whatever it takes to get you in his or her office ASAP. But same day's notice is pretty short. It might be early next week before you can be seen.

Was in similar situation myself not so long back. Try not to worry - you are doing the right thing in consulting your GP who will if necessary, refer you to the Hospital. Will be thinking of you and you will be in my prayers that all will be well.
Many times lumps are found and they are non-cancerous, cysts, etc. Breast lumps are very common and most women will experience one or more at some time but the sooner you are checked out the better. Good Luck - hope all will be well.

Usually painful lumps in the breasts are benign (NON-cancerous) cysts. Sometimes they go away on their own...but you still should be checked by your doctor

You should get it checked. I found one in mine, and it was so painful. I went to the doctor and they said it was nothing and that usually lumps that hurts are benign and nothing to worry about. Good luck

Most likely it is just a cyst and nothing to really worry about. Talk with your GP and he/she will point you in the right direction.
How do I know? My wife has had several, she is good about noticing anything different since her mother is a breast cancer survivor, but so far they have only been cysts. The doctors did have her come in and have one removed and tested just to make sure, and it was benign.

It might be, but most of the time painful lumps like that are not cancerous. Besides it sounds like you pay attention to your body so if it is possibly cancerous I bet you'll be fine since you probably caught it very early. Praying for you girl.
