The Cat for President	It should not still be bleeding, but the action of having could have caused the lining in the uterus to shed a bit. That's what it does during your period. I wouldn't say I would NOT be worried, but if you still are bleeding on Monday, you may want to call the doctor. You should not bleed again, because it was your hymen that was being torn during sex that bled. Now that it has been torn, that's that. However, sex may still hurt so ask your boyfriend to BE Gentle. (I was for a week) and u may bleed a lil bit for a few days, but not alot. Its fine trust me. And you should prolly wait about a week or so before you have sex again. rockstarrr	Bleeding is normal. A significant amount of bleeding would not be good. Bravo, by the way for using protection. It is normal to bleed a little even a few days afterward. Also, keep in mind that the first time isn't the only time it may hurt or bleed. Every woman is built differently so it affects everyone differently, but personally, sex never felt good to me until like the 10th time and even then there was some discomfort. It shouldn't be too painful but discomfort is very normal and bleeding also. Practice makes perfect...and trust me its worth it in the long end...cuz after a while it feels oh so good. I wouldnt worry about the bleeding however unless it is very painful or a lot of blood. Try relaxing also...usually the first time you are nervous and that causes your muscles to tense. ITS OK!! the thing is that when u have sex 4 the 1st time he "breaks" a little thing called the hymen, and it is normal to bleed from this, and you it is normal to be "spoting" a little for a day or two. Rachelle K	The light bleeding does happen, if there is any significant pain at this point I would see a gyno just in case. You may bleed again the next couple times you have sex. It is possible for your hymen (or "cherry") to only be slightly broken open during the first time you have intercourse. So don't be surprised if you bleed a little bit the next couple times you have sex as well. Now if there is a noticable amount of blood (like at the height of your period) or if the pain is really rough, then something isn't right. It should be uncomfortable the first few times, but not downright painful. If you are even a little unsure, talk to your gyno. And good for you for using protection, don't stop doing that. You never stated your age. People should have a little more respect. I can only answer from my personal experience which was very similar: the first time I had sex, I bled quite a bit. The next day there was some bleeding here and there throughout the day. The next few times I had sex (2-3 more times) there was a little more bleeding but it got progressively less each time. I worried too and went to my doctor who told me this was entirely normal, some girls bleed, some girls do not. It's painful for some girls, it's not for others. Each experience is different.
