You're not too young to use them but all hymens are different. Some have holes where you can put a tampon in, others don't. You may have to wait until your hymen naturally breaks before you can use tampons...or wait until you are sexually active (which I'm not condoning as such a young age).

I would say... (and this is probably going to sound like TMI! lol) but anyway. there IS a spot to put it, don't worry. try putting one leg up on the toilet or the edge of the bathtub and use one hand to slightly spread the lips of your vagina. And relax too! Don't be nervous about it, let your body Loosen up and don't be tense. Doing this will hopefully make it easier to find the hole. You could also try using a smaller tampon if you're having problems. Hell you can even start with a light one. Don't worry hun, you'll get it. Good luck!

Make sure you're using one with an applicator. Try tampax perl because they have super smooth plastic applicators and compleatly relax when you try. It could be that you're too tense and your muscles are pushing togeather too tightly. just read the instructions as you do it. Everyone's first time is weird but soon you'll be fine. When you do get it in, if you're uncomfortable, wear a pad too just in case of spotting.

There are instruction that come with them, check those out. You know where the hole is right? It's going to be a small little hole, right under where you pee. You might even call it your pee hole cause it looks like you pee out of it. When you put the tampon in, insert it kinda diagnal. It's less painful and stays in better, I learned that. You sort of go back diagnal. I dunno, get a mirror and try to find it.

The first thing you must do is relax. You're not going to get anything up anywhere if you're tightened up. The first time you use a tampon be prepared to use your hands a little bit for navigation. This may seem gross, but it really is necessary.
To find your "hole" locate two flaps of skin, somewhere between your anus and where you go pee. If you kind of open these flaps up (these are called your labia majora by the way), you will get to ANOTHER set of flaps (labia minora), and under these you will uncover what you are looking for..your vagina.
Once again RELAX, position yourself squatting over the toilet seat, part your labia, and put the tampon in. Your vagina will be wet with blood so be prepared for that.
Once you find your vagina and can get the tampon partly in, its all smooth sailing from there.
Good luck!

I was 14 when i first used a tampon. I didn't have a clue what to do and i was to ashamed to ask anyone so i done it by myself. Anyway, i just shoved it up there, ended up breaking my hymen and i fainted on the floor. My foster mum and her son found me haha how embarrassing! Ok back to the question...
I find the best position is to sort of squat down, open up your vagina with your one hand (so your spreading the hole a bit) and then put the tampon in with the other hand.
Whn i first started using them though i found it easier to put one leg on the edge of the bath or the toilet and then work it in with two hands.
Do it slowly and gently until you get used to it. Best starting with applicator tampons. They're a lot easier to use, just read the instructions.
Oh and nothing can enter your vagina while your hymens intact so it sounds like it is yet to be broken. It can hurt but just take it easy.

kay go to google and find a picture of a labelsd vagina. see that hole in the picture
okay, so go to ther the bathroom and kneel on your bathroom floor and with a mirroe stretch out your outer lips, and there will be inner lips(the lips of the vagina) use 2 fingers of one hand to gently pull them apart and stick the tip of the tampon in there. then , aming at your lower back, gently push it in.
p.s if you try to push it in but you CANT try a slighty different angle. aim a little lower...im 15 and i finally learned where my proper angle is a couple monthes ago (ive tried since i was 12!) oh this might help: the average womans angle is 45 degrees.

oh, girl, there's a hole all right! lol. i had that problem too. use a mirror, and make sure u put it in at an angle, or eles it won't go in. thats probably ur problem, (i t hink thats why i couldn't do it for a while) tilt it instead of straight up, more towards your lower back. and use the slim or junior kind. they're smaller and easier to get in
oh and u probably SHOULDN'T put it in when you're not on ur period, because it will hurt when u take it out. so only wear them when you're on ur period.

there is definitely a hole. i figured that out the first day of my first period. just go in the shower, and kinda use ur finger and wipe forward while pushing up. ur finger wont go in the hole, but you'll feel somethin kinda like a gap, ur it caves in a little. search with ur finger not the tampon. if you cant find it, stick to pads.
GOOD LUCK!!

the best way to find the hole is to sit on the toilet and hold a mirror under and between your legs. With your other hand search for the hole underneath where you pee from. It'll get easier to locate once you've done it a couple of times.

Try using the tampons called sport tampons. They are easy tp put in and take out. Make sure you read the instructions carefully. U have a hole just read the instructions and there is a picture of a woman and it tells u how to insert the tampon in. which u prolly already know. Before you place your tampon in sit on the floor and look at yourself then squat a little and realx and you will hopefully be able to stick the tampon in. To know when to remove your tampon. If your cord on your tampon is getting red, then it is time to remove it and put a new one in. I know you can do it.

You're never too young to use tampons. Use the lowest absorbency, and try it when you're not on your period. That way, you get used to it and you know what to do when it's time to really use it. I know you're probably nervous when putting it in, so just remember to breathe because all women go through that. I did as well. Good luck and don't give up!
EDIT- When I say to put a tampon in when you're not on your period, I don't mean to leave it in. It's just for practicing purposes, so you can see what you're doing. God, people are dumb.

well sometimes if you need help finding the hole, you can lookin the mirror. theres two main holes, your butt and your vagina. theres a piece of skin inbetweent the two holes. the hole under the skin, near your crack is your butt. the other one is where the tampon goes. sometimes skin will be sticking out of it and thats the hymen. try it a couple times, i would guess it's hard.. {dont have period experiance..im 13 hah}
if it's too hard ask someone to show you, or use pads and try again later.

pointit towards your back. here are directions i copied:
You may be worried and nervous about using your first tampon. Talk to your mom or a friend who has used tampons. It is important to first learn how to use a tampon and then, just relax! The more you relax, the easier the insertion will be. When you are nervous, your muscles tense up, making insertion even harder. For your first time, you may want to try using a tampon when your menstrual flow is heavy; this should allow the tampon to glide in more easily. Choose the smallest size tampon for the first time. By following these simple guidelines, and those that come with your package of tampons, your first experience with tampons should be easy.
Sit or stand in a comfortable position. Some women prefer to place one leg on the toilet seat or tub, while others prefer to squat down. After you find a position that is most comfortable for you, hold the tampon with the fingers that you write with. Hold the middle of the tampon, at the spot where the smaller, inner tube inserts into the larger, outer tube. Make sure the string is visible and pointing away from your body.
With your other hand, open the labia (the folds of skin around the vaginal opening) and position the tampon in the vaginal opening.
Gently push the tampon into the opening, aiming for the small of your back. Stop when your fingers touch your body and the applicator, or outer tube, is completely inside the vagina.
Once the applicator or outer tube is inside of you, use your index finger to push the inner tube (the tube where the removal string is visible) through the outer tube. This pushes the tampon into the vagina.
Once the inner tube is all the way in, use your thumb and middle finger to remove the applicator or outer tube.
Make sure that the string hangs outside of the vaginal opening. Later, when you are ready to remove the tampon, hold the string and gently pull it downward until the entire tampon is out.
If the tampon is inserted correctly, you should not feel it. If you feel uncomfortable in any way, you may have inserted the tampon incorrectly or the tampon may not be placed far enough into the vagina. If this happens, just remove the tampon and start again with a new tampon. Remember that practice makes perfect. If you don't get it on the first try, your second try will most likely be successful. Instead of getting frustrated and giving up, relax and try again!

this is what you need to do, make sure you have the right size first. being that young id strart with a teen sized tampon first, if not deffinately no bigger then regular sized. it also might be the kind youre using, try plastic ones.. i use playtex Gentle glide because they go in the easiest of any tampon ive tried. when inserting, put one leg on top of a step or the toilet that way youre spread open and try your best to find the right spot..being spread eagle should make it alot easier. good luck!

There is a hole. Between the lips about an inch and a half down from the slit there is a hole. You can feel around with the tampon if you have to! Just wiggle it around in the middle of your crotch, don't go too far back. If you do it right, the hole you stick it in shoudl feel no discomfort and the tampon should slide in very easily after you wiggle the tip of it in. Look at the directions on the tampon box, they are pretty decent. Make sure your legs are bent slightly to give you easier access. Good luck!

If you didn't have a vagina doctors would have noticed it when you were born. Trust me, it's there.
I suggest using a mirror to find the hole. It may be small, and it could be that your hymen is in the way. But you should still be able to get it in. You just have to get the right positioning and make sure you relax.
Try putting it while in a squatting position, or with one leg up on the toilet seat. Worked for me.
