why are you scared of telling your friend? it's a natural thing women go through. all women have to go through the process of getting a period sooner or later & whether they like it or not. if she sees that you have tampons in your bag, just tell her straight out... having your period is a part of life for women.

good luck & have a fun & safe trip to hawaii! :)

Tell her that the tampoons are for nose bleeds.

relax-its part of life
alot of good advice here already

friends can tell friends anything-something like this would be better to mention when you feel comfortable and reasonable to speak of to her.

this is what helped me alot to deal with things that were not suppose to be part of my life-like lying and stuff=I suggest praying through what I give to you-and when a wrong thought comes to your mind like lying about what is going on-this works for me-I pray inside "The precius pure blood of Jesus rebuke/take away that thought." and it goes and then I put in whatever is good honest and pure to think about =Philippians 4:4-20 (especially verse 8) prayer, peace, power & plenty more.

this is what helped me to get victory over violence even in my thought life=joy -inspite of things-it is based on Jesus promise in his love for each of us

"I love you, and ask you to repent from your sins, even one lie, Behold I stand at your heart door and knock, if you hear my word and ask me in, I will come in and become your friend." Revelation 3:19&20

so I prayed "Jesus I am sorry for my sins, come into my heart and help me, be my friend, Amen."

it gave me a new begining in life and if I get off tract-I ask Jesus to forgive me for letting him down and to restore the joy of my salvation so I can help others to find the way too. Psalm 51

praying for you and help to you princess, David

i dont know . maybe u should tell her. that way u dont get embarassed and have to explain why u did not tell her.

--SoCcEr*CaOs--
tell her now...that is what i did...i started in the middle of class...that was the first one that i got...tell her just incase of an emergancie. for example if you are in the bu have to bathroom and you have no more tampons...you have to ask her to get you 1.

just me
you should tell her, and make sure you tell her it's not scary. you could really help her. you shouldn't be afraid to tell her. knowing that you've had it could alleviate her fears, and she could ask you questions about it. maybe she's just scared of it because she has no one to tell her what's up, and you could be that person for her.

first of all if youre wearing a tampon you wont bleed in the pool.

secondly you should just act like its not a big deal cuz its not.. she'll get hers eventually..

just tell her.. who cares..

fireandice92

It's not a big deal at all. It doesn't really matter. Either tell her you got your period or tell her you need to go to the store to buy tampons for your trip, or she will just see them when you're there. She has to get hers too, eventually...

Kim
1. shes a girl...she will get one too...
all you have to say is that it's natural and every woman goes through it. don't be embarrassed.

2. you don't have your period in water

Maybe you can help her realize that it isn't scarey. Tell her you want to talk to her about it and explain that it isn't bad and every woman goes thru it. It just means you are growing up. good luck and have fun in Hawaii.

Look Your friend shouldnt be that way, Shes an girl to, sooner or later she will get it too! So if i were you, i should tell her and its not your fault you have you period its an cause of nature, your growing!!! and i think you should let her know, cause or in other way she will act very diffrent with you and she will not have trust on you. So tell her and make her understand ALL GIRLS ARE GONNA HAVE THERE PERIODS ONE DAY!!!!

I would wait to see if you really get it in Hawaii. Some females (like myself) are a bit irregular and can't count on it coming on a certain date. If you really think you will have it in Hawaii, then I would either come right out and tell her (tell her "your friend is visiting") or make sure you tampons aren't around for display. As far as bleeding in the pool, the pool will dilute the whatever blood may leak out and could never be seen.

You should just tell her just do it she's going to have to go threw it one day to,

why not tell her? if she thinks its scary you can tell her its not. its something every girl goes through, so she cant get mad at you for having it. and its better than her finding out and wondering why you didnt tell her

mickeyr813
1st of all if you are in a pool with a tampon.. you wont bleed in it.. second of all. if your friend is a girl she is GOING to have to get over it sooner rather then later.. cause shes gonna be bleedin soon too!

You can't help or change the fact that you have a period. You need to tell your friend to get a ******* clue and leave you alone. Why are you letting people influence you so much? Will your friend help you decide what to do with everything else in your life?

You make this hard on yourself.

Maria
Why would you be scared-its normal!

I guess I just don't understand why you can't tell her. It is a fact of life, all women have it. I would just tell your friend and then when you are on vacation you don't have to worry about anything.

Handsome 3K
Why are you scared, what will she do to you? If she thinks its scary then she is in for quite a nightmare once a month when she gets hers.
