I'm 14, I'm not going to say: you're too young to have sex because its non of my business, however protection isn't just for getting pregnant , you have to give a count for STD & STIs NO MATTER WHO EVER YOU'RE HAVING SEX WITH PROTECTION IS REQUIRED i myself as a 14 year old i wouldnt have sex with a girl even if we were alone in the world without protection anyway, it's not that hard to buy a condom, protection is better than pregnancy and diseases |

I would think so but better not to risk it because if you are starting (you don't know) then you could get preg...So don't risk it. Don't listen to the others, you go for it whever youfeel ready hunnii xx |

I wouldn't risk it if I were you, always use protection. There is a chance you could start when your having sex too as something is known to trigger it. Also, your underage so just be extra careful. x |

Sure, you might get pregnant, you will catch an STD / STI and you will be a mini tart but sure, nothing is pysically stopping you, and honestly if you have to ask this question then you really should not be allowed to even consider it! |

no have you thought that condoms protect you from stds?! you are too young anyways... |
|

No. You could be on your first cycle and get pregnant. You can still get STIs without having periods. You are quite young. |

Sweetheart you are to young in the eyes of the law to have sex , now whether you or whether you don't is your business, but please please be sensible and make sure the guy uses a condom |

HI Katie, even if you haven't started on your period, it's not a good practice for you to engage in until you're ready to start a family. You're really too young to start having sex yet, and even if you don't agree with me on that, it would be a really good habit for you to insist on a condom when you have sex, until you find the right guy to settle down with, at least. If he tries to talk you out of that, then he isn't the right guy anyway, or he would respect you more than that, and be more concerned about your health, and his own. Pregnancy is the least of the worries a young person has to deal with these days, HIV / Aids and other STD's are very serious, so if you are going to have sex anyway, then at least don't die for it.....good luck..... |

No! On a practical level, you will ovulate (produce an egg) before you have your first period- which could be anytime soon. This means that you could fall pregnant without ever having a period first. On the other level- emotional- you are too young to be considering beginning a sexual relationship yet. You will regret giving away something special so please hold on until you meet someone worthy. It's not that long until you are 16 but the age limit is set for a reason, trust me. |

Dont Know Actually. But I Do Think It Would Be More Safer To Wear A Condom. I Mean You Could Still Get Pregnant If Like Your Period Was Meant To Start The Week After You Had Sex. If You Get My Drift... |
|

No because your period could start anytime. I have heard of girls getting pregnant who hadn't started their period. You could also catch a sexually transmitted disease. Your also 2 young and it's illegal. My advise is wait until your older, you and your body is more mature. |

You're way too young to be thinking of having sex! You should never try to think of excuses to not use protection at any age anyway, whether you've started your periods or not. Go and have fun and wait a few more years. You have plenty of time to worry about mature stuff like that when you're older! |

No darling, your too young and mentally not mature enough for that kind of thing, sex is something you should save for when your older lovely :)..any you can still get pregnant even if you are on your period ..unless you want a child underage which im sure you dont then i would strongly advise against having sex. |

No you can't! You still might get pregnant as the ovaries would still produce an egg. |

Simple questions are the best... Can I have sex without protection? NO. And quite honestly, please think think think about having sex in general. 14 is mighty young, IMHO. John Jones, M.D. |

Well, since your body actually "holds" the sperm for a short while before the actual conception, it's possible that you could get pregnant before your first period if the timing was right. Your period is the release of old blood and eggs, so before you even start to bleed, your body could be ready for pregnancy since it will already have started collecting the blood and releasing the eggs. Don't forget about STD's either. I think the statistics now are that 1 in 4 people have an STD, but I'm not sure what it is exactly now. And don't trust any boy your age to be honest with you if he did have one. AND many STD's don't even show up for several years after you get them, so your partner might not even know that they do have one. It's ALWAYS best to use protection. |
