cmccam	I don't remember ever buying from a flyer in the door, but I have bought from the flyer left in my kids school health room. It was something to look at while I was waiting for 'patients'. I have also bought from a friends sister. I had only met her maybe once or twice before. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

*~Soldier Boy's Girl~*	I'd buy from Avon and I've bought from Avon. Their products are really good. I was a represenative, but couldn't go all the way through it because of some certain circumstances. I have a lot of family members in Avon and Mary Kay. rp_angel_2003	When i was in high school i sold avon for my cheerleading squad...ppl bought from us all the time...i still buy avon but people dont sell it door to door here. They leave there books at beauty shops, small home town stores, etc....they doo good that way. I would buy it if someone knocked on my door trying to sell it!!! Was this answer helpful to you? devilbaby_st	I usually buy my Avon makeup from their online store. I do not use a rep. I know too many Avon reps & I feel bad buying from one and not the other. So, I don't buy from any of them at all. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

Brutally Honest	I'm a dedicated online shopper, so when I DO purchase things that aren't available through stores, then I buy them online. In the years before online shopping, I rarely liked dealing with one-on-one reps because I hated the "pressure sales" that came along with that person's presentation. Mary Kay is the worst for this, but its the same for Avon, Tupperware, Party Lite and all the rest. I don't want to FEEL obligated to purchase something to help account for that person's time. gynassist	I have in the past bought from avon but only because my avon rep is a friend.But i prefer now to go out see what im buying and bring it straight home cant be bothered with the hassle if i dont like it sending back etc..I really wouldnt bother if its for money potential. xCassiEx	I used to be an Avon rep. when I was, you had to sell £35 before you started earning any money at all, so this means that you either have to go some months without money or cover a vast area. Think about it...if youre willing to put in many hours of dedication, then go for it, otherwise, dont bother.... Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

xCharliex	DONT become an Avon rep! I have just given up - and the reason why i gave up was because i was my own best customer! People do buy from them, but only a handful, well thats in my experience. I recently moved house, and i got given a new area, and not only did i not get my brochures back and id spent good money on those, i got no orders, nothing!!!! so i lost a bit of money there! and thats what made me give up having to go out all weathers, having to spend money on books, stationary etc etc, and the poor comission rate - you have to get an order over a certain amount to get your comissions! 25-27% isnt alot when you think about it, its only alot when you start selling like £800 worth - i never managed to get £200 worth in orders!! I suppose it could work if you had a huge friends network, or people at work were interested, or a huge family, or a good territory! but unless you havent got this, then your unlikely to suceed! Sorry to put a downer on this, but i dont want somebody else to get sucked in the way i was!! Your better off getting a part time job! Trixie longjuice	I woman made me sign up to be a rep when i was veeery drunk one time. She then dumped a load of goods outside my house ( I had no idea at the time what they where for)...I rang her up to ask what the hell i was supposed to do with the goods...she told me to try sell em....I said that i couldnt be bothered and I told her to come collect them....She never did, I had them at my house for 5 months...i then had a letter from avon saying i had to pay for them coz i hadnt sold em.. I had a very bad experiance with Avon...You probably wont tho Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

Moofie's Mom	Hi! Yeah, I do!! We also have a lady who brings us a brochure at work. She does really well from us! If I were you, I'd do a little bit of research around your area, and drop off some brochures at local firms, especially places where there are lots of ladies employed, i.e. children's day nurseries, supermarkets, solicitors offices, etc. If you are really polite and friendly and ask their permission to drop off a brochure or two, I'm sure they wouldn't refuse and you'd do really well! ?	My local Avon rep died the other week and so I would certainly buy from you. They have some good products these days which you cant always get in your local shops, eg Antibacterial hand gel, like you see in hospital. Our chemist doesn't stock anything like this yet I can always get it from Avon! Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No
