How do you tell your boyfriend that you have your period?

Well, my boyfriend and I have been together for a year or so, but never truly made plans while I had my period. But eventually, we'll live together and I want to be able to make sure that he will be comfortable with me telling him. I want it to be casually brought up since he never asks when he wants to play around, mainly because it was never a problem before. Should I leave it go or confront it now before I HAVE to?
Thanks in advance! :-)
Thanks in advance! :-)

Just tell him the truth. Guys shouldn't care (unless you're under 17). Once guys grow up some (and they're always behind chicks) then they don't really care. I keep my husband informed about my period and he just knows that the theme park is closed for maintenance. ;-) |

My boyfriend can tell when i'm on my period. I don't have to tell him. He has always been able to tell but he just was too shy to let me know he knew. Maybe that's the same with your boy. |

Since most guys know what a period is (haha) I don't think it will be an issue. Your boyfriend hopefully knows that girls have periods every so often, so you telling him isn't going to be a surprise or anything. If you two are together, and you're on your period, just politely say, "lets do something else, it's that time of the month." If he's a decent human being, he won't have a problem with it at all. :) |

Just be honest, and say "Its that time of the month" He is a guy, he knows that girls have periods...so dont be embarressed or anything... It will all be ok....I promise |

Its times like these I'm thankful my fiancee is the only boy in his family (aside from his dad, of course). We've been together for five years, so he usually knows way before I do, he keeps better track than I do too, lol. Depending on the relationship, a day or two before you are supposed to start go, "Baby, i'm close, can you pick me up some tampons while you're out?" Or you can just come out about it and tell him. Its nothing to be embarrassed about. If you two are going to live together, wait until that magical moment when you have to poo and he freaks out. Thats worse than having your period, lol. |

Girl, you been with him this long he should know when you are on it. just by the way you act or anything there is nothing wrong with telling him that you are on it. go for it and just tell him, he should not even care that you tell him, if you can live with him then you can tell him this. yeah so just go for it |

Sit down and talk to him. It will be better to get done with now then later because it will be on your mind until you do. |

Just tell him it is "that time of the month" he will most likely understand most guys do. |

Just tell him when you get a quiet moment that you're not in the mood to do anything tonight. He'll probably ask why, and then you can just say that it's a girl thing or girl time, or something like that, and he'll likely figure it out. |

Well, just be honest with him. "I can't do anything right now, 'm on the rag." He should understand, though there are some guys who LIKE that and don't care (but trust, it's MESSY). Other ways to tell him: "I'm bleeding, no can do." "I'm bleeding from the crotch, you don't want to go down there." (My girlfriend actually says this to me...we have a fairly blunt and honest relationship... >____>) "I'm having my period. *sadface*" "Aunt Flo is visiting." (Some guys won't get it immediately, though.) "I'm seeing another guy right now...he's Asian...his name is Tam Pon." Just be honest! :) |
