you're probably not bleeding a lot so the tampon is dry and that's why it stings. if you cant wait to take it out go to the bathroom , relax, stand by the toilet and put one foot on the toilet seat and as you slowly exhale take a hold of the tampon's string and gently pull it out.

Uh oh. That is really bad. But don't freak or anything! It'll be ok...just take deep breaths, then go pee. It sometimes loosens the tampon up. Then grab the string and pull super hard!

yes u do need to leave it in there for a while, especially if your period is not that heavy. Never use a tampon on the first or last day of ur period. If u absolutely must take it out, try pushing it out using your pelvic floor muscles while pulling gently at the same time.
Hope it helps.

yes if it has only been in for so long then the thing will be dry and the dry cotton can sting when you remove it. be sure you are using the right size tampon and also that you insert it all the way and leave it in long enough. but be sure not to leave it in for over 6-8 hours cause you can get infected.

your tampon is too dry. you either need to wait longer for it to soak up more blood, or do something like masturbate to make your vagina wetter.

Hello♥

keep it in longer, but no longer than 8 hours.
but if you REALLY need it out now, pull it out slowly. yeah, it will hurt, a lot, but it will go away once you get it out. and remember to relax. it loosens your muscles.

the tampon hasn't absorbed that much so it's probably still dry while you are pulling it out. tampons can be left in 4-6 hours depending on the flow. give it another hour and then try it'll probably of soaked up enough to come out easier.
you also may be using a size too big for you. teens should be using a slim fit tampon. be calm, you'll be alright.

Immerse your bottom half in water (bathtub) and remove it while in the water. Also, you need to relax so that your not 'clenching' and making it harder to remove....

Hey because your expecting it to hurt, chances are your tighting your muscles making it harder for the tampon to just slide out. So when you go back into the bathroom, spread you legs take one steady breath in then slowly breath out and gently pull the string at the same time, remeber to relax!!! Should be easy.
You can leave a tampon in for up 2 8 hours. Iv been naughty and left them in longer before. But your not ment to, because your body can end up with 'toxic shock' were your body has a reaction to the chemicals in the tampon. But as long as you change regualy and stay clean you wont have a problem.
(do not pull it out real fast, u'll tense up and it wont go any were, and it blimming hurts!)
Just take your time and relax
GOOD LUCK!!
(Atleast you didnt do what I did and forget to take it out and end up with 2!! Then was a shock! But I did manage to get them out!)

First of all relax! Sit on the toilet and relax for a few minutes to ease your mind. Pull on the string slowly.. if it doesn't work that way, lay on your bed and try it then. But you have to relax or you will stress your muscles. Good luck.

If you're using a bigger tampon then normal, it's possible that it's just bigger then what you're used too. That happened to me when I started using tampons. Don't be afraid to take it out, and use a smaller brand next time.

If you ARE on your period, it is probably too dry to remove. Wait a while and try again. If you are not on your period - WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?! - might as well take it out 'cos it's not getting any nicer.

It probably hurts because the tampon isn't absorbed enough. When the cotton is still dry, the friction will begin to hurt in the vagina! Try leaving it in a little bit longer. Or in the future try using smaler tampons.

Pull it out. Next time, try using a lower absorbency. This normally happens when the tampon isn't completely full. You should never wear a higher absorbency than you need for your flow and you should never wear one for more than 8 hours at the max.

it's too dry is why- try and wait a little bit to let blood fill it up and it will be easier or bend over more and just pull- it will be uncomfortable dry but it won't cause any harm

It could be because the tampon is dry especially if you don't have a heavy flow and you only had it in 2 hours. Use the correct absorbency size. You will be okay.
