all girls need to shave lol.
i started in 5th grade, so yea right b4 middle school.
im now a freshman
you need to either sit down and talk to your mom about personal hiegene and everything that goes with shaving. you need smooth hair-free legs in order to be a true woman =]
there is nothing wrong with having hair on your legs its just a bit embarrassing when all your friends shave and you don't. trust me, ive been there.
which is why i started shaving =]
if your mom says yes, i would talk to another female adult figure in your life such as an aunt or an older sister if you have one. tell them your mom isn't letting you, and maybe they can have a chat with her. if this doesnt work, hun-please just sneak it.
a girl needs to shave thats all there is to it. =]

just because there are some girls that shave already doesn't mean you have to.
your mum will probably let you shave once she thinks you're old enough/need to.

last year 2 of my friends couldnt shave or wax and they got picked on so much.... next year im gonin into 8th grade and im hopeing that thier parents understand how they felt and let them shave and stuff for next year....

Ok, I started shaving my legs last year (i was in 6th grade) and when I first asked my mom, she said NO. And then I sent her an email asking her again and she told me for my 12th birthday I could shave my legs. But THEN, my best friend convinced my mom to let me and she gave me a razor blade and shaving cream for Christmas.
So my idea is the you have you waxing friend ask your mom. Then, have you and your friend talk about really hairy things when ever your arounf your mom. Worked for me!

Just say mom I really feel like I should shave my legs! It's not a big deal and then say how would you feel if you were the only girl with hairy legs? works every time. lol

Just tell her, that you notice that you have hairy legs, and that bothers you, ask her if you could use nair, or neet instead of shaving...let her know that it makes you uncomfortable....let her know you're growing up...it's time...

Quickly shave them in the morning and don't tell your mom, or beg her in the afternoon knowing that the chances she'll let you are very low unless you manage to convice her somehow like telling her you would feel self-concious in front of the other girls if you didn't. Remember don't feel pressured into shaving just because youre friends are doing it; you're your own person and you should think about doing it when there is more hair, then that will be the right time.

I'm 12 and my mom let me start shaving when I was 11.
Just print out some information about why it's good to let girls your age start shaving. You could make a little booklet about it to help convince her. And I know this sounds kind of bad, but if your legs become a real issue and she still won't let you shave them, don't be afraid to sneak the razor into the shower with you. I mean, it's a lot worse to have to go to school looking like a grizzly bear than be grounded for a few days. By the way, don't believe the myth that if you shave too much you'll get black hairs, it's not true, and I have scientific proof!

i've never understood the deal with moms and shaving. at lot of my friends went through this. my mom was just like, be careful and don't cut yourself too bad, have fun.
anyway, i would try using nair. maybe she's against you shaving because it uses a razor i have no clue. but nair, while messy lasts longer. make sure to do a test area to make sure you're not allergic. also, i would make a trek to the ethnic hair section of the store and get something called "neutralizing shampoo". i use this on my legs after i nair; it helps get rid of the smell and that sticky feeling, and it turns colors so you know when the nair is all gone.

she cant stop you from shaving.... just do it. If she dont like it, tough cookies. it doesnt have to do with her. It is about you and you dont want to feel self consious of your hair on your body.

i had the same problem i only started shaving when i was in the mid of eight grade and there r still peps who dont at all
there r regrets to it
like if you look at a mens face theres all these stubby hairs or what ev you call em
but its not the best look
and it adds responsibility
i only did it when i felt really emmbarressed and uncomfortable
but i think ur too young
people give crazy advice on this thing try to listen to urself and somehow talk this out like agree to start when you get ur period or somethin
dont do it cuz every1 else is
the younger you start the stubbier it gets and bolder it is when ur older
give urself time to think
dont get a wax
that willl makke ur vains pop out when ur older

Yes you should definitely shave your legs, just tell her that you heard some people in one of your classes talking about girls with hairy legs, and you felt like they may notice- and you want to shave to keep from being ridiculed... if she notices...

Just do it. It is much easier to say "i'm sorry" than it is to ask for permission. And then, you can continue your actions because you've already done it once.

its this stuff that you put on you legs.. you leave it on for 3-5 minutes then wipe it off & all the hair is gone!!
it comes in spray & cream but i think the spray works best!!

I went through the same thing also. Before you start waxing, or shaving, try using the cream that you apply and then remove with a cloth. Tell your mom that you can do this by yourself and it won't even hurt. Good luck!

I can't imagine your Mom says no to shaving your legs.
If you feel you are ready, then you probably are. If you notice your legs are more hairy than girls at school, and this is a issure for you, then shave them!
Shaving legs is really not a big deal, so tell your Mom if it is making you uncomfortable.
Or just use your razor and shave your legs!
