You're asking the wrong question. No one should advise you to "sneak" behind your parents backs. If you begin doing things to cause them to distrust you now, there will come a time later, when you need them to trust you, and they won't.
If you want to date at 16, and they are nervous, but know that they've always been able to trust you, it will be easier. If you start seed distrust now, you'll regret it later. Parents want the best for their children. Ask yourself why they object. Ask them if their objections are valid and logical. Work to openly persuade mom using logic, and polite requests. In the end, you may or may not get your thong. But you will have their trust, and that is worth a whole lot more than a thong. You turn 18 in four years. If you have to wait until your 18th birthday to wear a thong, wait. Don't throw away your parents trust in you, just when you're getting ready to need it the most.

*sigh* if you find it necessary to lie to your parents about THONGS... that's sad.
Just tell your parents you don't want panty lines in that "thing" you're wearing. But if you want a thong just to feel like a big girl, it's not worth it. They're so uncomfortable. I'm a teen and I only wear one on VERY rare occasions.

Find a way to go shopping yourself to Ross and buy one. Stick it in your backpack when you go dome like in a binder pocket or somewhere yourr mom wont find it. Buy another thing as a decoy so that your mom won't wonder.

As unfun as it may sound, you could go shopping by yourself. Or, is there another adult in your life that wouldn't spaz out on you (ya know,cause getting to a store without a license would be hard)? Any friends at all that wouldn't freak out. Though I don't know why they would, cause in reality you need to wear a thong under some clothes, whether you like it or not.

First off you do not "need" a thong, second if you want to buy them, earn your own money for it, and find your own approved way to the store. Then have fun trying to keep them hidden from your parents as the s*** will hit the fan when they find out, and I would bet they will find out.

I have underwear that my parents don't know about, too, I've done this stuff before. It's not too hard. Go to the mall alone or with your mother or friends, and bring some extra cash with you. Tell your friends (or parents) you'll be right back, and if they want a reason, say something like you have to go to the bathroom or any excuse you think will work. Then, if you have a Victoria's Secret at your mall you can head down there and buy yourself a thong. Or, if the store you're in has thongs already, just buy one from there. You can also go down to Victoria's Secret with your friends and just tell them you want underwear, and then buy a couple pairs of regular panties and sneak a thong in there while you're at the register so your friends won't notice. Then hide it in your pocket or your purse. When you bring it home, make sure you put it in the back of your closet where no one will find it! Good luck!

If you're so worried, buy a utility thong, not a fancy one, and leave it at that. If your parents think you need it so you don't have panty lines, and not because your showing it off, you'll be fine.

Your first question was "can I" yes you can. Your second question was "should I". I think you should talk to your mom about it. After she gets finished spazing then tell her why you want one. Your parents will spaz a lot worse if you do and they find out after the fact.

If you do your own laundry, you won't have to worry about your parents seeing them.
Buy them at the store and mix them in with your other clothes when walking around if your friends are with you. Rue21 is a great store to buy thongs...they have nice ones for only 99 cents. While your mom is in the store next door, say you're bored in this store and are going to go next door. buy yourself some underwear and be sure to buy something else too in case your mom asks you what you bought.
I just told my mom I bought them. Wedgies plague me...they really do. So one day I bought some thongs and said "Mom, I fixed my wedgie problem." She asked me how and I showed her a pair and said "Look,. there's nothing to give me a wedgie". I've been wearing them ever since.

i totally went through this when i was your age! no worries. you can actually buy them anywhere without feeling awkward. just go into the store by yourself someday and pick out a few! it wont be a big deal! trust me.. my mom even saw me buying them one day and she was like "ew how can you wear those ya da ya da ya da." but she got over it no big deal.. i really dont think your rents will care too much. and if your mom knew do you really think she would run and tell your dad that you wanted to wear a thong? i really doubt it! hope this helped some. =)

there is no age limit for underwear. if you start acting deceitful around your parents now, you'll continue with far riskier behavior in the future. parents need to learn to choose their battles -underwear isn't worth the fight. buy the underwear you want with your money. you're growing up and your parents will respect your choices if you stay honest.
