I don't want to laugh at this question but it is hard not to do so. You really can't tell your mom? Do you know your mom? You're 11 how bad can your relationship with your mother be.
Your mother is not stupid I am sure...she is probably well aware that your period is soon to come (likely you've become a little snotty and moody in the last 6 months). When you start to bleed tell your mother you need some sanitary products.

Hey hon,
Your ok! Just wait until you get it and say " Mom I got my Period." And she will buy you some pads. Don't worry you will be fine!

OK, I have only boys, but when I started my period I went screaming down stairs yelling..MOM I STARTED MY PERIOD. We didn't hide much in my house. My sister and mother had already prepared me for it. My brothers thought I was gross, and told me to shut up, then, they both brought me a soda and some chocolate. Just tell her what your doctor said, and that you would like to have things in the house just in case it starts soon. Moms really are pretty nice about those things. I mean, WE have them and I bet she will get teary eyed and just be so pleased you shared that part of your life with her. Its best to have a good relationship with her. And talking about the things you need to know will be easier if you aren't embarrassed. Just go tell her, give her a hug and say. Whew! I am glad you are here to talk to.
I hope you have a good relationship with her already. if not, just do the same thing and see what she has to say. I bet you will be surprised.

Your mom should be expecting it. Find a private moment and say tell her that now that you're 11, you may be having a period sometime soon. Ask her to help show you how to use period products.

Oh don't worry about it at all. Your mom has been there and she has been there with her mom, going through the same thing you did. When you get it, just be like "Hey ma, I got my period." It's not like she'll yell at you for getting it lol. Trust me, she understands. She might barricade you in your room so you don't go having sex, or she could be like my mom and throw the pill at you. But don't worry about it lol.

Well you havent gotten it yet, and your doctor may be wrong. My doctor said I would get mine when I was 10, and I got it when I was 12. So you can wait untill you do get it before you tell her. But when you do get your period, you have to come right out and say it, if it helps say it through a closed door when your getting dressed or something so you dont have to face her. I found that easier then just saying it. Also you have to remember that she went through the same thing you are going through. She is a woman too, and you have to know that she will be understanding. I mean she didn't have you so she could make fun of you when you menstruate. She WILL understand. Talking to your mom about your personal female problems can feel a little embarrassing, especially if you aren't used to talking about such things. But your mom is a good place to start for a lot of reasons. Here are some ways to "break the ice" when talking to mom about personal issues:

Keep it casual. Maybe the idea of a big sit-down with your mom seems intimidating. So, try opening the conversation casually by saying something like, "Hey mom, has your period ever lasted a really long time?" This opens the door to discussion.
Write it down. If it's hard for you to start a face-to-face discussion, leave your mom a note where only she'd find it. You could say something like, "Mom, I'm having a lot of pain with my periods lately. Can we talk about this tonight?" That way, she'll initiate a conversation with you and you won't have to worry about bringing it up. Be direct. You could take a straight-up approach and just tell her your feelings . Start by saying something like, "This is uncomfortable for me, but I need to talk to you about my period." That way, you and your mom can get to the root of your problem right away. Keep it casual. It's okay. Don't freak. One of my friend started when she was ten! I started when I was your age. She is going to find out sooner or later. Just say, "Mom, my doctor says that I'm about to have my Period. could we go out and get some pads just in case?" She'll be thrilled and go with you. It's okay, don't be embarrassed around your mom.

You dont have to tell her untill you get your period. This is a natural thing that happens to every girl, nothing to be scared about. Just tell her you started your period, or ask, could you help me pick out things I will need for my period.

when I had my period I just had to puff up my chest and went to my mom. I invited her into my room and just said Mom... I had my first period. And guess what? she was actually happy that I told her and he didn't make that big of a deal and she took my shopping the next day for that stuff... you know what... and well I'm glad that I told her because if I did'nt then I might of had one in school or something and been totally embarrased because I did'nt have anything besides my regular clothes on and i know tht the best way to do it is just get her in your room and tell her yourself.

Sweetie, your mom knows that you will get your period at some point in time. I promise she knows about these things...if she didn't have on herself, you wouldn't be here. Just go to her at a quiet not busy point in the day and ask her about what you should do to prepare yourself for when you finally do get it. You might be surprised with her answers and it could turn into a nice chat between the two of you. And she will feel good knowing that you can to her with this problem and it might make her feel good knowing that you needed her advice.

Don't worry, your mom already knows you're going to start soon... remember, she was in your shoes once, and she knows your body is changing.
Just come right out and ask your mom any questions you have - she will be sympathetic to your confusion and give you whatever answers she can. If you're too embarassed to say it, try writing her a note and putting it in her purse or wherever she will see it.

Not Telling
It's not a big deal, your mom has been through it too. She totally understands. So when you get it, just talk to her in private and tell her. She is one of the only people that you can discuss these things with, every girl/woman has the same problems.

Good luck!

:-)

I got mine when I was 11 too. You should just go tell her about it, it really isn't that big of a deal-she has it too. And she started at one time as well. I'm sure your Dad won't make a big deal about it, even if she does tell him-he isn't going to say anything to you about it.

Just tell her. ^^ Your mother will be happy.

trust me I know it is embarasing. I told my mom not to tell anyone and the whole family (aunts uncles and all) knew but the end of the day.

It is something you will grow used to in time, and your mother is always there to help!

Meeeee!
Your doctor can't know if or when you are going to start your period.
When you start, you'll just have to be brave & tell your mum. Remember, she had to tell someone when she started so she will know what you're going through!
