There's nothing wrong with trimming or even shaving completely, but it sounds like you're just not used to having hair there. Give it a chance at least, I find it more comfortable when I don't shave. Waxing, by the way, is very painful. Especially down there! By the way, my mom wouldn't buy me a razor - ever. She didn't believe in shaving your legs, even though the rest of the girls would make fun of me at school, in gym class. I just stole my dad's razor. He probably wondered why they kept getting dull so fast! :P I only shave my pubic hair if it's for looks (like for my man, or for wearing a swimsuit without hair sticking out the side). Like I said, waxing is mucho painful and whatver you do, it will grow back and you'll have to deal with uncomortable stuble.

I understand your dilemma and I feel that if you are living with Mom and respect her then why not wait, like you did with shaving your legs? You may want to have a heart to heart talk with your mom and let her know how you feel. She maybe more excepting to your wants than you think. By doing this you are showing her you are responsible for your actions, and that goes along way. Try not to do anything to yourself you may regret. I know I have a few. Hope this helps you.Good Luck.

for heaven's sakes, don't do a home waxing kit! the cashier is the least of your problems with a do-it-yourself bikini wax!
if you have the money and can go to the salon without your mom going, then you can have a professional wax done, which will still hurt, by the way.
otherwise, you should just trim and/or shave. it's not like you'll be starring in a baldies porn tomorrow and you need to look pre-pubescent.

You could always just buy one behind your mom's back you know if you have like your own money and just make sure she doesn't see or also if you have your own money you could say you're going to the salon to get a manicure or something and just get that done instead and she'd never know....

I know how you feel - my mom didn't let me shave my legs until I was 13 either - she had no appreciation for that fact I felt like an English Sheepdog and was laughed at by my friends at a swimming party.
Get a good razor, a pair of scissors, and a woman's shaving cream - and trim closely and shave...don't forget to exfoliate!
You can get as close as you're comfortable....waxing is...PAINFUL.

trim it because you can get ingrown hair folicles by shaving if you dont shave the right way. they are very painful, lil blisters that fill up with fluid and bust srry for being gross but it h appened to me, jus trim it untill you find out the right way to shave it.

Try telling your mom that your hair makes you feel self conscious and uncomfortable. It worked when I wanted my mom to let me shave my legs. But if she still says no you could ask a friend to buy some for you. Also, it may seem like the cashier is making fun of you with their eyes (hehe) but look confident. I swear, they can smell fear. Hahah, just kidding. But they're probably staring because they're board out of their minds, and really couldn't care less about what you're buying.
Oh, and also, some major grocery stores have self check out areas you can use if you really want to avoid the cashier. Just grab your junk, scan it, insert your cash and run away. Very hand things they can be.

don't worry, the cashier will not stare at you. i am sure they have stuff in their lives other than the customers buy. i bet the cashier will be more concerned with when there next break is.
just go to a store (i can see why you would eb embarrassed, so i would go to a smaller store and not a grocery store) and buy it. take it right up to your room or your bathroom and leave it there. it would be best when your mom is not home or busy, but if she is, then leave it in the car and get it that night. then, use it when you are home alone.
good luck!!

Use Nair its for your legs, bikini area. Best of all no one knows what you are buying it for.
Your mom needs to calm down and let you make some decisions about your body. As long as you don't get piercings all over your face and tattooed.
Besides Nair is much easier than waxing, it doesn't hurt like waxing does.
Just try and be understanding of your mom, its the respectable thing to do.

there is no way you can wax yourself, that is just totally unrealistic. you won't be able to do it. Maybe you could on some light hairs like your arms, but your pubes are too thick. Just shave them until you can afford to have a professional do it. OR, you could ry to talk your mom into just getting you a bikini wax, which is just the edges, and then try to talk the person doing it into doing more. I started getting bikini waxes in the summer at 17, but I didn't get a full brazilian wax until I was 23. I get french waxes now, I think they look the best.

Go to the store, you can still have a parent drive you if you want. Tell her to wait in the car. Buy a few things, but when you pay for the waxing kit, stick it in your puse so your mom wont know you bought it doesnt see it. Or, just go with a friend without your mom. The cashier won't think anything of a waxing kit, its perfectly natural for a woman to want to wax. She's seen weirder stuff, trust me! :)

wow that's embarassing i'm sorry. you could shave it but it can get itchy. if you do it daily then it wont. i suggest "trimming it" not bare, but not bushy. you have to do it behind her back she's not going to change her mind. buy it yourself. do you really want to have that bush?

Try trimming, and shaving. Your mom is less likely to find out about it, you won't get a stare down, and it's less painful.

I know it's embarrassing to have to check it out in front of a cashier, but really, to them, it's not a big deal.
Think of everything they sell that could be embarrassing... Tampons, pads, condoms, douches, medicine... Waxing doesn't seem as embarrassing as those things! And they sell them EVERYDAY. They won't think twice of it! If you are still nervous, go to a younger female that you don't know.
So like I was saying, just go to Walmart and buy a waxing kit. Since you said you were older than 13, I think you are old enough to decide.
If you don't want to do that, you should shave/trim to keep it down until you can buy a waxing kit.
If you happen to have a credit card/debit card of your own, you could order a kit online... But if your mom sees your bill, she might notice the waxing kit!

Waxing hurts man. Sure the effects last longer, but shaving would be way less painful, also a lot easier in your situation.

I hope you won't mind me answering your question. I am a guy, but my fiancee' uses an epilator. She has been doing this for years, so her pubic area stays nice and soft. I know other girls/women who shave there as well. Waxing is not the only way to rid yourself of unwanted hair.
I wouldn't worry about the ignorant stares of petty cashiers. Unless there is an age limit on home waxing kits, as long as you have the money, you can buy it, regardless of what the cashier thinks. They are paid to take your money and serve you, not offer you their opinion.
If you can't get the home waxing kit, you may have to just shave your hair there, but you will need to do this more often to avoid getting itchy stubble. My fiancee' has told me that she loves her epilator, and at the beginning it pulls a bit, but after a few times, she has told me that it gets easier. I think the waxing would be a more intrusive way of removing your hair, but that is totally up to you.
Personally, I think your mom should allow you to make up your own mind, regardless of her own personal hygiene, but of course you have to live with your mom.

home waxing...especially in that area can cause more trouble than the hair itself. (imagine wax finding its way inside certain areas it's not meant to be...then having to get it out!!) Shave...but use a shave gel meant for that type of area. If you can, go to an adult store and buy some. Don't get in trouble...it's not worth it...but shaving will be much easier. I recommend a brand called....Coochie. I know it sounds crazy, but it is a wonderful product. just transfer it to a different bottle. Be open and honest to your mom as well. she will be less likely to freak out if you act like an adult about. and respect her opinions...she is your mother after all.
Oh...and about the cashier...don't even worry about that. who cares what she thinks of your purchases. none of her business. smile and say thank you!
