Maggie MercuryMorrisonTownshend	This is a tricky subject, and it can feel very awkward. You just have to remember that EVERY other single girl has gone through this exact same thing. If you are to embarrassed to talk to your mom in person, write her a note, explaining everything. That way you can get out everything you want to say and it won't be so easy to chicken out. If it makes you that much more comfortable, you can ask her to answer you in written notes. She will understand, and will be patient with you until you are more comfortable with the subject. snappygirl	It's simple, you ask your mom questions about when she went through puberty. Like, "How old were you when you got your first bra?" or "When did you have your first period"?. It will take the pressure off you and also make your mom realize that you are ready to talk. When she starts to ask you questions you'll be ready to answer. It's going to be fine. She asked you if you wanted a bra before, just tell her you have thought it over and would like to get a bra. Why would she say no if she's already suggested it? ms. susie	wanna know how my mom found out i wanted to start shaving? i had typed a note to her and never planned to give it to her but i printed it out and accidently left it on the counter. when my mom read it she was completly fine she said okay lets go to the store and get razors. then we went down the pad and tampon aisle and got some pads. next we got some deodarent. then she asked me if i wanted a bra. i said yes. and we went to the bra area and i got 4 of them. you should feel comfortable with her. i mean afterall you can out of her vagina. she would rather have you talk to her then wait and wait. if you dont want to do that then start wearing tight shirts and sticking your chest out. she will probably get the hint. hope i helped Was this answer helpful to you? kungfumama	You shouldn't be nervous to talk to your mom about it. I was but once when we were shopping she took me over to the bra section and helped me pick one out without even asking me. Stephanie B	Well start out by telling her that there is something you want to talk to her about and you're fine and everything, but you just need to talk to her. Ask her not to tease you or laugh at you or whatever you're afraid of and just tell her you'd maybe like to check out some bras. If you're nervous about going to the store, try asking her to shop online so you have an idea of what you want before you go or even order online. Jenn	I also started puberty at your age. When I was in 4th grade I had a B cup, That was akward! I suggest you just tell your mother that you would like to get used to wearing a bra before you get too much bigger. Budding breasts can hurt and get sore, and in some ways, a bra can alleviate some of the pain. However, be prepared for a bit of an unusual feeling, a regular bra may be too uncomfortable for you, for this there are training bras which should be a little easier to handle at first. Shawn	Just go talk to her. She will appreciate it. My 12 year old came to me and asked for one when she was 11. Since then we have had many conversations. I know that you are probably embarrassed and I am sure that you are a little uncomfortable asking. Well, guess what! It is difficult for your Mom too. Her little girl is growing up and changing. She should ask you again, if she does, then tell her! But please, don't ask a lot of people on these answer things a bunch of questions. Just ask your mother. crankyissues	Next time you are in Walmart together, ask if you can go look at the girls section-- you can start "picking" through the training bras, looking at them like you are interested, and she will most likely notice. Maybe she will start the conversation and you will have the opportunity to tell her what's on your mind. Another option is to tell her that you are "ready to talk about it now"..... she's a mom-- she WILL understand. She went through it too. You can tell her you are a little "shy" or embarrassed about talking about it, and chances are she'll do most of the talking. Good Luck! Nicole	everyone has to do it, just bring it up when it's just you and her. Or ask to go shopping with her and then just kinda head towards the teen bra section. I'm sure she'll get the hint and discretely help you pick one out. I started with sports bras for a year or two and then went to regular ones.
