roma	Theres no fixed age for starting your periods.Why not ask your mum when she started .Its more than likely you'll start at around the same age as her.I started my periods a few days before my 16th bithday,and trust me,it makes a girl no less normal than any body else.Aside from that,you get terrible cramps/pains and mood swings(I cry!)Make the most of being period free while you can.take care,regarde' Was this answer helpful to you? Charlotte R	i was the last girl in my class to start m period too (i was 14 nearly 15) , and i really wanted it. but now i have i would be glad to get rid again! i know it seems like a big deal now but it really wont matter when you start getting your period the discharge is a sign that you will start your period soon, but everyone is different. it isn't abnormal at all, so don't worry =] just relax and your period will come in its own time. mo	hiya!! i wouldnt worry about it too much - my cousin didnt start hers until she was 18 n the doc sed it was ok although the average age is normally between 8 - 16. i also had a friend who started wen she was 7!! poor lass!! lol try not to think about it because stress can prolong them aswell. if you r still concerned then go to ur doc. xx Was this answer helpful to you? Stephy <3	I hear this sooo much. Right, firstly, the average age for starting your period is 14. I started mine at 14, and felt this was early. Secondly, girls LIE about starting their periods. Your worried about your periods, however, you haven't lied about it, but A LOT of girls do lie about having started their periods, as they think it makes them more 'grown up' None of my friends in high school had started their periods at 13, and it is uncommon to start them before 14. So don't worry, you are normal, and the other girls are likely to have lied about being on their periods in order to feel more grown up, but really, they are just as insecure and worried as you! I felt just like you but looking back I shouldn't have wasted my time worrying about it but enjoyed the fact that I didn't have that burden! It will happen don't worry. Laurie M	You can start your period anytime up to 16 years of age and it will be considered normal. My daughter did not start her period until she was 15. I started at 13. Violet	You are perfectly normal!! And I'm going to say it even though others will say it too: YOU ARE SO LUCKY!! Periods are a gift from hell!!!! They give you headaches, cramps, bloated-ness, pms, and until you can use tampons you can't swim while on your period. And I'm not even going to start with the whole I-Cant-Use-A-Tampon-To-Save-My-Life thing. Because personally, I can't, and right now I'm on my period and it really isn't cool.
