I know what you mean.
It sucks...but you should be alittle happy you dont got it,
I am 14 too but dont have it.
I heard it sucks, lol.
I know it's true when the right time comes.
I promise it will come hopefully for me too.
I even got held back supposed to be in the 9th grade
and all of my other friends got theres.
A couple of days ago they were talking about
it..it is so embarrasing knowing you dont have it :(
Were just kids right now :(
But advice:
Keep a pad or tampon close by.

Everyone is right. Everyone's different and it comes at different times for everyone. I got mine in 5th grade but my sister didn't get hers until her sophomore year in high school. Just enjoy the time that you don't have it! It's not all great fun. Just chill. It'll come when it comes.

I know you may be freaking out, but each and every girl has a different age of puberty. It comes when you are ready to handle it. My mother and all of her sisters got their periods between the age og 8-9, while i myself gained mine at the age of 13. Dont stress it, because stress may delay the process.

I have the same problem.. my mom said that she started at my age.. but I havn't started yet.. but like other people are saying.. you and I should enjoy life as we have it. (without periods!) :)
Hang in there! Your doctor is just trying to calm you down a bit. :) I went to the doctor too.. they all say the same thing. :)

the books are right, you will get it eventually, dont worry. when you do get it, youre wish you didnt have it. its not a bad thing or anything but most women wish they could skip that part of the month.

First off, stop stressing over it. That's the easiest way to keep it away. Second of all, the books and the doctors are right. It will happen. When it's TIME for it to happen. I had boobs and pubes for two years before I got my period. I was almost 15 before I got mine.
But really, relax. Stress is the one of the primary triggers for late periods (even when you've had it for YEARS).
Your doctor knows when to start worrying about you not getting it. Trust them and (no pun intended) just go with the flow.

Its okay some girls don't even get it until they are 18! I feel your pain though i am 13 and don't have it either but maybe you just don't have all the signs.. Here they are
Sigggnsss..
-Pubic Hair
-Armpit Hair
-White Discharge (for at least 6 months or more)
-2-3 years of breast development
(after 2-3 years of breast development is when you usually get your period)
-You should also be at least 100 pounds.
alssooo..
-are you breasts sore?
-cravings for food/candy/drinks?
-lower back sore?
-any cramps around the belly button area or bellow?
-feel bloated?
-feel cranky/moody?
Hope this helped! :)

Well, the whole super skinny petit friend thing doesn't matter because super skinny kids actually get their periods earlier. I am REALLY skinny. Every year when I go to the doctor for a physical he thinks I'm anorexic. I am not but I am skinny and I got mine when I was 10.

There are several things that you have to consider.
One is that you should talk to females that are directly genetically related to you. Late periods may run in your family. I have a friend who is almost 18 and still doesn't have hers.
Consider your diet and health. If you're not healthy or eating right, your body won't let you have your period because it assumes that you cannot support a child with the diet/health issues you may have.
Any medications that you are on may also have an effect on your timing.
I wouldn't worry too much about it, I was late getting mine too, and while I understand how much it really stinks to not have one while everyone around you does...it's really not fun once you start it, but I can understand why it's important to you.

Thats totally normal. My aunt didnt have hers until she was 18. Dont stress about it, it will come. Plus once you have it, you will wish you didnt. Kind of ironic.

As much as you seem to hate to hear it.. Your dr is right. It comes at different ages for everyone. And trust me.. once you get it.. you wish it would have held off for another year.
Dont rush growing up. It happens fast enough as it is..

its COMPLETLEY normal! and honestly you dont want it! its sucks lol some girls dont get it until they are 17. i got mine in 5th grade, one of my friends did not get hers till 11th. age does not matter neither does the way ur body is developed. having periods stink. ur doctor is right. dont complain. its not a big deal. you already have all the body functions that come with it such as the hair and shape.... you have that without the pain of having one. you are a lucky girl! - dont worry about it, its normal. and ALL girls get one there is not way you could never not get one.

you're overreacting. Calm down, you only need to be worried about it if you haven't gotten your first period by 17.
FYI: stress will cause it to come later.
And just because you're a late bloomer isn't going to have any effect on you having children.

getting your period sometimes has to do with your genes, if you mom didnt get hers until she was older, then you would probably too.
BTW- why do you want it so bad? periods suck!
