A male doctor should always have a female nurse present when doing a vaginal exam.
Believe me, they have seen many others.
Please go and see him, because your symptoms sound a bit too serious to be left alone :)
Good Luck

If you are a lady and don't wanna see a male doctor then ask for a female to be present during the examination or take a friend or ask to see a female doctor. You MUST MUST go tomorrow!

I would say go to the hospital if its very bad or even when you go to your regular doctor ask for a woman.

Look in your phone book for your local GU (genito-urinary) clinic. Then you will be able to ask to see a female nurse and doc when u get there. lol trust me tho hun it aint musch better or less embarassing having a woman poking down there than it is to have a man doing it. Theyve seen it all before and if u do see ur own male gp he has to have a female nurse in room at same time to chaperone u. U need to see a doctor tho for definate. Please dont put it off or it will cause more problems in long run

See your doctor, that doesn't sound right but I'm sure the doc can reassure you.

go see the doc!!!!! its prob nothing major maybe skin pigmentation but get it checked out now. who cares if your gp is a man, he's seen it all before. if you really dont want a man looking at ur bits call the surgery and explain you would like a woman doctor or nurse, they may ask you what its about so you may be able just to say 'down below' or you may have to tell them exactly whats wrong but dont be embarrased you want it sorted dont you?

I dont think you have to see your normal doctor, i normally phone up and see whichever GP is free or the nurse they have in the surgery. Phone the receptionist and ask to see a lady doctor or nurse. Failing that go to a NHS walk in centre.

have you scratched the area so much that the black could be dried blood? see your dr, ask for a female but remember its nothing they havent seen before. I'm a nurse and have seen all sorts and it really doesnt bother me so it wont bother your dr either. they will know that its embarrasing for you and do their best to put you at ease.

Almost balck?! It sounds like you have some sort of infection. Tell your mom and find a gynecologist - a female, if this will make you more comfortable than a man.

Maybe you should see the doctor, it doesn't sound healthy.

A male doctor has seen a womens vagina before, he has to have a nurse in with at all times when examining a female.
You can always ask to be examined by a female doctor. Don't let this put you off, you need to see a doctor.
