Yes it does stop,
But only in cold water, in hot water it will continue, for your bodys heat is hot. It normally stops in water because your body is changing temperature and is used to a different environment, causing the cycle to act differently. Mine stops, but i know my friends doesnt.
So, you'll probably have to try. Just wear or bring a tampon in case.

Uh, why would it stop? Does it stop in the bath or shower?
Of course it won't stop. This is one of the things tampons are for.

Your period won't stop in the water, this is a myth. Use a tampon before you go swimming.

it just depends on the person. Sometimes it stops for me and other times it doesn't. I wouldn't recommend it to avoid embarrassment.

If it's necessary, put in a tampon right before you get into the pool. Most people generally avoid swimming at all when on their period, though.

take it from me. I am a heavy bleeder, I go swimming when I have my period. I do use a tampon and I do not have any problems. If I did not use a tampon, however, I would be very nervous and would not have a good time because I would be scared of bleeding in the water. Play it safe and use a tampon, that way you can enjoy your swim.
Think about it. Do athletes not swim just because they have their periods? I don't think so.

It will most likely continue. (This is why you're not supposed to swim in the ocean on your period; it draws sharks.) You can use a tampon, mind. Oddly enough, when I'm in the tub, my period sort of stops for a bit.

People say that you are ok in water but im not that comfortable unless i am wearing a tampoon or coming towards the end of period. Its ok while ur in the water but its when u come out, walking around, waiting for shower.
I would use a tampoon and put in one fresh rite b4 u into the water...there will be no leaking!

it depends how heavy it is (if you're on your heavy day)
wear a tampon if you're worried
but it usually disappears and dissolves in water yes, unless its like a gush (gross, i know)

it stops because of the water pressure. i don't like tampons and I swim alot. It always stops for me, I've never had a problem in the water. The guy who said someting about the shower. The reason it doesn't stop in the shower is because there is no water pressure entering and blocking the flow. Just make sure you run to the locker room the second you get out.
