Katie P	girl do not go behind your moms back i did and cut myself so many times..its was a pain in the butt trying to hide it from her...i would just ask her or your dad (god hell be so clueless and weirded out hell say yes)...but your 12 so your a few years away from highschool so i dont see why your moms wouldnt be cool with it...my only advice is to be really careful first time go slow so you wont cut yourself shaving cuts still hurt like hell and ive been shaving for seven years Was this answer helpful to you? Rebbie	I did that once, and I promise. Your mom will find out cuz the first time you will probably cut yourself. You should just ask your mom because you're at a good age. missymyshock	Oh gosh. I would not go behind your mother's back. It depends, if she says no. I would leave it. I am 15 now, and started shaving when I was at the end of 6th grade. I regret totally going behind my mom's back and shaving. I know you're probably anxious and want to try it, but if your mom says no, make a deal with her on when you can, and compromise. But if you think you can pull it off... You just grab a razor, I don't like using brand new ones, although that's what you kinda have to do... lol and I get a great shaving cream, i love satincare. that stuff is amazing. and a razor from venus. but whatever you have should be fine. you just shave in the shower. make sure not to cut yourself. b/c it hurts badddd. and always always always put lotion on after to Hydrate your legs and keep them from drying out. when you shave, start down by your feet and come up towards your knee. good luck there. Go ahead and shave your legs, but let me tell you, there is nothing to rush for. I wish I didn't have to. And sometimes I wish I never did. But I guess almost all women do it. It just really sucks. Sasha	When I was 12, I really, really wanted to shave my legs. They looked so hairy and I was embarassed of them. I refused to wear shorts or capris to school. I talked to my mom about it, and she was really understanding. She said I should use Nair instead of shaving. It was a good decision - Nair makes your legs silky smooth, so you shave and moisturize in one step. Plus, you legs stay hairless for longer than shaving. I would suggest not removing the hair on your thighs. The hair there is really light and not noticeable, and, if you shave it just once, it'll be thicker and more visible, so you'll have to keep shaving there. If you have blonde hair, I wouldn't suggest shaving/using hair removal products like Nair. My friend had very light blonde hair on her legs, and, although there was a lot of it, it wasn't visible. Her friend pressured her into shaving them, so she did so without her mother's permission. Now, she's really sorry she did that, since the hair grew back darker and more coarse. Good Luck!
