I dont know if it is proven or not but I am sure in some case it could be. Stress really does a number on your body but i am sure if it is just daily stress i dont think it could but if you are really really over stressing your body it could i mean stress can cause alot of adverse affects on yourself. It is proven that even when you get angry and yell your body takes it as an infection on your body and you bodies defense will start to attack itself thinking something is wrong which can lead you to just getting sick easier so if you are overly stress i am sure your body could stop giving the fetus nutrients and what not.
Like i said I dont know for sure but in my opinion under the right curcumstances it could

It might, although there is no conclusive scientific proof.
Women who are pregnant suffer all sorts of emotional traumas...anything from having to tell their family that their 14 or 15 y.o. daughter is pregnant to losing a spouse, child, or other family member...and those pregnancies are carried to term.
Other women cannot carry a pregnancy to save their lives.
It is a generally accepted notation that an estimated FIFTY PERCENT of all pregnancies end in miscarriage. This would include those who spontaneously abort (miscarry) before pregnancy is even a consideration those those women who miscarry a confirmed pregnancy in the first and second (and even third) trimesters, to those whose babies are still births.
So you can see that there is no direct correlation between stress and miscarriage.

Yes, stress acts on all bodily systems and severe stress can possibly cause the body to think that it is in a violent environment and might miscarry.

Yes i do believe that stress can cause a miscarriage! It has been proved that stress can cause people to become physically ill, it can lead to disease and depression. Stress is very serious, and we all deal with some stress on a daily basis, however we have our own ways of counterattacking stress. Some of us read, or walk, or exercise, have a drink, do yoga, do a hot bath, meditate, pray, run, jog, ride a bike, fly a kite, listen to music, dance, talk to a friend or friends, see a professional, play with there dog, cuddle with a cat, watch pet fish swimming can be very relaxing, there are so many things that we all do daily to combat stress. However severe stress is really serious and i think it could cause a miscarriage. So a mother to be should try to decrease her stress levels at all costs. Stress can kill it is that serious. So distress!

Yes it can. If ur pregnant, you should not be mad or unhappy. You can, but not more than normal. You can't be angry every day.

2 problems with trying to directly link stress with miscarriage. Firstly it is almost impossible to measure or quantify stress. Secondly to establish if stress is linked to miscarriage, one would need to divide pregnant women into matched control groups, subject half to measured stress levels and look at the difference in miscarriage rates. If this were possible it would not of course be ethical.
