Yes i've been swimming on a team for 7 years and have had my period for 4. You can wear tampons. |
|

xx.StarShine.xx |
Yes you can. But I just want to tell you that tampons are actually bad for you and women are not really supposed to wear them because if you wear it too long than you may get toxic shock syndrome or something like that. Good Luck♥ |

Short answer- yes. |
|

Shimmy D |
Yes |
|
| |
Pamela |
I wouldn't. Water will saturate it and it will be a mess when you get out of the pool. If you did, I would not want to swim with you. Just sit out the swimming that week, or take pills to control your period if swimming is an important thing in your life. |

Yes. I would suggest changing it right after you get out because the absorbency goes down when it gets wet. |
|
| |
Melanie M |
Yes you can you just have to change it out a little more. So take extra with you when you go to the pool. Have fun. |
|
| |
...? |
Yep that's what they're for =] |
|
| |
whatacheerdork |

|
| |
Chels |
of course you can. sometimes, (i advise you try this in the bath tub in luke warm water) your period stops when its in the water because the gravity is different and you usually stop bleeding. |
|
| |
Lauren |
ha yeah you can |
|
| |
Paige |
lol yes of course |
|
| |
ceej |
ummm yeah that's what tampons are basically for! they're so you can swim and be active while you have your period. why... were you wearing pads in the pool before? lol |
|
| |
CrunchyCon |
You can, but it's not the best health-wise because it absorbs the water (including any bacteria and chemicals in it) into your vagina, so if you do make sure you change it right away afterwards. What's better for swimming is a cup like instead, the DivaCup, Keeper, or MoonCup, but not everyone is comfortable using those. |
|

idkqwert |
yes. when swimming you wear a tampon DO NOT WEAR A PAD. tampons are alos good when doing sports. i perfer the playtex sports for all the time use. |
|
| |
carl the wise |
just not the super absorbent or they will have to refill the pool when you get out! cause it will soak up all the water! lol |
|
| |
Jamoomoo |
I wear them in my ears when i go swimming- stops the water getting in my ears. Stops my ears getting pregnant too, mind. |
|
| |
Livvye |
Yeah, that's one of the main advantages of tampons. I wouldn't reccomend using pads in a pool. |
