virginity has a different definition for differnt people. its not a medical term, its a word that was created by society.
to most people, you lose virginity when you have vaginal sex. but oral, anal and manual sex are still also sex. so some people think that engaging in those types of sex make you "lose your virginity" too.
Also, your "cherry" doesnt pop. thats reffering to when your hymen (or "cherry") stretches out and tears. this can be caused by many things such as physical activity, a tampon, a penis, and yes, a finger. but even the hymens of women who have vaginal sex arent necesarily torn.

You did not technically lose your virginity by being fingered! However you can tear your Hymen. The hymen is not an indicator of virginity; a girl is a virgin until she has been penetrated by a penis. The hymen is thin layer of tissue that can tear very easily. More then likely that is what happened. It can cause light bleeding but nothing to worry about. If fact a lot of girls who are active in sports tear their hymen without even knowing it!! But please remember SEX is a very big deal so make you are ready physically and mentally! Be/c you can never take your virginity back:)

Yeah, that happened to me. When a guy fingered me once I bled just a little bit afterwards when I went to the bathroom so I thought he had popped my cherrry but then when I had sex later after a year or so I didn't think I was gonna bleed but I did. The guy most likely popped it just a little bit but not enough to pop it all the way if that makes sense.
But your still a virgin. Technically your not if you want to get into all of that technical ****. But if you look at it at they way every one else does in the world, you have not had a cod in your vagina therefore you have not had sex therefore you are a virgin.

He may have broken your hymen, or "popped your cherry" but he did not take your virginity unless he penetrated you. Bleeding is normal after breaking your hymen.

well.....it really depends on what you want to believe, if you feel that breaking your cherry is a symbol for loosing your virginity then you can consider yoursel a non virgin. However, many girls break it by just simply exercising and sometimes accidents occur like they hit themselves against something. Also tampons also cause this, so it depends on what you want to consider it. Usually loosing your virginity means having actual sex , it is all up to you and as what it seems like you did break your thing i would sort of consider it as loosing your virginity beacause you took part in a sexual act but you didn't have sex but that is just me....it al depends on you. Hope this helps =), GoodLuck!

Yes. My boyfriend did it to me. On valentines day when i was a virgin he fingered me and well he started to see blood so he stopped. when i got home i realized and i figured i started my period for the month. then i looked and found that i just had it 2 weeks ago and i couldnt possibly be getting it. then i realized that he popped my cherry. since then i've had sex and there has been no blood. so i figured that yes. you can pop a cherry if you get fingered

You didn't really lose your virginity since it wasn't actual sex, and now a days a lot of girls have their hymen break (Which is what happens when your 'cherry pops') in different manners, mostly with tampons and that stuff. But you're still technically a virgin since you didn't have sex.

Don't listen to half of these people. By the very definition, you are a virgin until you have INTERCOURSE. Sex. Actual sex.
You can tear your hymen in a number of ways (manual stimulation, like you said... a tampon, excersize, injury, and some girls are just born without one). But your "cherry" is NOT your virginity.
PS - A doctor can't tell if you're a virgin or not... unless of course you have a sexually transmitted disease. A "broken cherry" is no indication of virginity.

Well, yes and no. Biologically you are no longer a virgin, but morally (to an extent) you are.

you definitely could have popped your cherry, but it also could have been previously broken through sports or tampon usage.
but only your definition of losing your virginity is what matters.
in my opinion you didn't lose your virginity, but the only answer that's truly right is whatever you think.
i honestly wouldn't worry about it.

Virginity is an abstract concept. Some people would say you lost it and others would say not. However, I think you are probably referring to breaking you hymen, which usually happens during your first sexual intercourse. From your description is is very possible that he broke yours.

Of course... just like you can do it to yourself.
That doesn't mean you are not a virgin. You are a virgin until you have 'real' sex.
A hymen in tact or not has nothing to do with you being a virgin.
BTW, it's fingering and not fingerbanging... that is a local term you've heard or your bf heard and is using.

Losing your virginity is defined as having sex, not breaking your hymen (your "cherry"). So yes, you are still a virgin.

It really depends on how you define virginity. He surely could have broken your hymen ("popped your cherry") but most people would probably still consider you a virgin. I certainly do.

Your hymen is very thin so it does not take musch to break it. Just because you bleed, he could have possibly scratched you instead of breaking your hymen. If he is fingering you, make sure he clips his nails and washes his hands and keep his nails clean as well. You don't want to catch an infection from his unclean hands and nails.

"Losing your virginity" does not mean breaking the hymen.
Why do people think that virginity is lost when the hymen is broken?!?
