Thats a pretty long time from your last period. well usuallly in the first two years of your period it will be irregular, its not the same for every girl but is very common. If you don't have your period in about a month or longer maybe you should get it checked out because there could also be a bigger problem, pregnancy or serious diseases like polycystic ovarian syndrome. You can always just go to the doctor and ask more about you period.
Hope this helps.

It's perfectly normal. Your period won't be regular until 3 years after you start it. Even then it won't be completely regular. So relax, it happens to everyone. This website is pretty helpful with dealing with these issues too. It helped me when I was younger anyway...

I hope that helps! Good luck.☺

its really normal don't worry, you won't stop developing untill your about 21 years old altogether, you might not even get another period for a year or so, its perfectly normal, your hormones are probablly all over the place, unless you have been having unprotected sex or have lost 20% of your body weight within a small amount of time lately you havent a thing to worry about :)

Don't worry, be happy. I've met some women who only have their period once every second month anyway... and I say they're lucky!! Every woman is different. We start our periods at different times, and we experience them differently. It is perfectly normal for it to start off a little bumpy.
If you are really feeling anxious about it, ask your mom to take you to the doctor for a check-up. It's kinda yucky the first time, but you can have your Mom there with you, or if that makes you uncomfortable, ask for a nurse to be in the room with you when the doctor does the examination.
Good luck sweetie. Welcome to the wonderful world of womanhood!

Well, if you're now getting your period, you should make an appointment with a gynecologist if you haven't seen one already. Many women have an irregular period...its not that uncommon. However, you should see a doctor so it can be regulated.

Yes, it's okay. In your early menstrual years, periods are often irregular. Not to worry -- it will start to come regularly. Just be prepared all the time for it since you don't have a schedule yet.

It is perfectly normal. Your body just needs to get used to it. Listen to your mom, she knows all. Don't listen to some of these people's answers.

Stay off web MD!! It will only make u worried...go to a real gyno or real doctor not the internet to get answers! It could be a number or things..most likely your fine and its a hormone thing but you need to double check it with a real MD.

Ya it is normal. That happened to me. And I went to the doctor because I was scared, and they said it is natural. Your body is just getting used to it. It may not start again for another couple months. But you should start carrying stuff with you for when you do start. So your prepared. :)

Your mom is right. This is perfectly normal when you first start having your period. For the first couple of moths you may skip some of your periods but after a little while your body will get used to it and you will have it every month

Unless you're having sex, and unprotected sex at that, you shouldn't freak out too much. Make a doc appointment and talk to a professional if you are worried. Privacy laws and all that.

your period should be really irregular this year. One time my friend didn't get hers for a whole year. So don't worry. Unless your having sex, then there is always the possibility that your pregnant.
