it won't do you any harm to use both but at night time i'd use just the pad - if it leaks it leaks - rarely does but at least you know you've nothing to cause a worry about upon your person!!! Use the tams during the day whilst out and about but once you're indoors in your jamas, a pad will be more comfortable and safer!!! Best of luck mate.

well u dont really need both if u use tampons then us it and vise versa. when u use pads it absorbs blood and tampons are up in there so it stops blood coing out u can also go swimming when u use tampons. remember u will need to change pads more often due to the flow of the blood that u have. and every 4 hrs or so change the tampon because it has tss (toxic shock syndrome) wich will kill u

No, since the pad is not inserted into the body there is no risk associated with it. Many women do this, myself included. The risks with tampons are the length of time it is left in.

nope, I always do that when I know I'm going to be very busy one day. So whenever I go to the bathroom I can just pull out the tampon and be ready to go because my pad is still good. It also helps keep your underwear clean.

No there ain't any harm with using both, you only have to make sure you change them often, this is where a lot of woman have problems with infections, for a new application should be used every time you go to the bathroom,or at least every 3 hours, should be changed, sooner if it bothers,if you have irritation then discontinue, otherwise there should be no problem doing it this way,it will help for heavy flow times..

i wouldnt think there was any thing wrong with that.. i do i mean if yor tampon starts to leak it will just go into your pants by wearing a pad then you wont have the embarressing leaks.. i wear a pad and tampon just be aware that just because you r wearing both doesnt mean you dont have to change your tampon be sure to change your tampon as if you wernt wearing a pad... i wear both!

theres no risk i do it whenever i get my period because i have a very very very very very heavy flow and even when i use a tampon i leak but make sure when you use a tampon you always watch for signs of TTS or in other words toxic shock syndrome it is very dangerous and if you do get it and are not treated immediatly you could die you can read about it online or in a box of tampons theres always information on it such as warning signs and what it is:)

I do that all the time. Sometimes I just wear a pantyliner with a tampon. No extra risk, just make sure you don't leave the tampon in too long.

Not at all
But just don't use a pads, use pantieliners. Plus it depens on the flow. If its heavy you should use "super protection" tampon. That will do =). Plus sometimes when you put a tampon in a wrong angle it will lick throuhg, but usually if you don't feel the tampon that means you are good (y)

Nope. The pad will give you a little extra protection if the tampon leaks, but unless you're having a particularly heavy day, that shouldn't normally be a problem.

It really defeats the purpose of using a tampon. If your that concerned about protection use a higher absorbancy tampon on your heavy days...

The combination of tampons and pads is potentially fatal. You could burst into flames and the fire would burn so hot that no firefighter in his right mind would come near you.
