Jessica H	no, its not scary, you may get cramps very bad, for instance i get them bad, but all people are different. & it also depends on the flow of the blood - if its heavy or light. but other than that - its not scary you just have to keep up-to-date with it and change your pads/tampons when they need to be changed. good luck :] Was this answer helpful to you? K!M	it's deffinantly not scary at all. actually for me it gets kinda annoying after a while. just be ready when it happenes. and if you're not, find a bathroom. wad up some toilet paper like a pad. and use it like one. =] just don't be scared. about half the population goes thru it. Liv	No, they're not scary, just a huge pain in the *. You may get cramping (it's different for everyone) but that is easy to cure with a heating pad on your lower back and/or abdomen and some Ibuprofen**. It can also be uncomfortable and if it is heavy it can be a little messy (just change your pad or tampon often). Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

*Emily**	Don't worry about it. i can't say its great. its annoying and sometimes your clothes get messy. Not to mention cramps and mood swings. But most of the time it isn't that bad. after a while it just gets annoying and oh i got my period. Chiquita Bear	no of course not .. believe me im TERRIFIED of blood, beyond extent but it really wasnt that bad. i was kinda happy. besides, every girl gets it , its just life. sure its annoying but nothing scary. and dont let anyone pressure you into doing something you dont want. who knows, you may not even get it for a few years away, depending how old you are. Sarah	no, just dont do like i did! when you first start it will most likely be older blood and be kind of a brownish color (this doesnt happen to everyone) i freaked out and thought something was wrong with me because i didnt know it was blood. i didnt have cramps my first couple times you may or may not get cramps it all depends on who you are. its not a scary thing though Was this answer helpful to you? Meli-j	i got my period when i was 9years old. dont be scared there not scary just annoying lol. i recomend tampons over pads because pads feel so gross, tampons r tricky at first but soooo much better in the long run u cant feel them and u can go swimming in them too. when it arrives u will be fine, dont worry Was this answer helpful to you?
