hope that helps

hiya, The first time I used a tampax I was just like you and had to ask my mums advise! It will not get lost, there is nowhere for it to go. You just need to make sure you are comfortable, I find sitting on the toilet best for me but you might find it better standing with one leg up resting on the bath or toilet. I also find applicator ones easier as the tube can guide it to a comfortable position. Good luck hun, you will be fine! x

It cant get stuck and there is no where for it to go so it can not get lost either. try several postions while putting it in to see what feels more comfortable to you. try sitting down and standing up with one leg proped up on something. you have to find what suits you. also there are directions and suggestions that come in every box of tampons.

You'll be fine. They can be hard to pull out if you're tense, especially if it's not been in very long. Make sure you read the instructions, and hold on to the string while inserting. Even if the string breaks, you can still get it out (a bit more effort). No chance of it getting lost. It has no place to go. It won't fit past your cervix. Try and relax, it'll be much easier to put it in. Also, buy the slender ones made for beginners, and plastic is easier than the cardboard. Good luck.

There is a string on the tampon that allows you to pull it out when you are ready. I am not going to lie, but sometimes the string can get pulled off (one in a million chance) at this time the tampon will eventually get extremely full and most likely start to fall out. If it does not call your dr to see what they recromend you doing. Dont be scared to use them though, once you do you will never go back.

i had the same worries as you, as i'm sure there are plenty of other women too which are too embarrassed to admit. There are instructions on the packet to help, but to be honest you can't really go far wrong, just keep hold of the string.

I've taught 3 of my friends already.
Soooo.
1.- Be ready to waste tampons, if you can feel it that means you didn't put it right, keep wasting them until you feel comfortable.
2.- Get a tampon and use it as if you were applying an injection, (hold it with your index and middle finger and push the bottom with your thumb) do this outside your vagina, just so you can see the lenght of it, it's not that bad!
3.- Get a new one, squawk, put it "in place" do the same "injection" thing, make sure you put it very "in".
If it feels uncomfortable then you didn't put it right, once you get used to them you are going to love it!!! it's cleaner that anything else, you don't have to see the blood everythime you go pee.
Good luck!

I was terrified at first as well, but nothing beats the convenience of tampons, so don't give up!
You can't really put a tampon in too far, it won't get stuck, and nothing terrible is going to happen.
In all honesty, there are unpleasant things that can happen but aren't horrible. The string can find its way "up" and you have to search for it, or you may not put it in far enough, in which case it may be uncomfortable and you'll have to remove a bone-dry tampon, which doesn't feel good. Neither of those things will kill you; the most they cause is a few extra minutes, and little more effort, in the restroom.
Relax and enjoy this amazing invention ;-)

The tampon can't get stuck or lost. The cervex is pretty small so there isn't any other place for the tampon to go. Plus the vaginal muscles hold it in place. The string won't snap off because it is threaded deep into the tampon. Read the pamplet for on how to insert it. Also here's a website that will help you just search your questions or type in "tampons" in the search part.

Hope I helped (:
Also if you really really still need help email and I'll give you some pointers that i used to insert my first tampon.

Don't be embarrased. The first time I used a tampon I "couldn't" get it out and I was crying and everything. My mom said to just tug harder (I actually asked her to get it out for me I was so scared) and I did and it worked! It turns out that the ease of which it comes out is directly related to the lubrication (sorry about the grossness) and I just had a really light day, therefore it was drier and needed an extra tug.
So, if it gets "stuck" it means that you're just a little dry and need an extra tug or lubrication (a little self inflicted excitement or thinking arousing thoughts will do it). As far as the string, if it bundles up inside there, just reach for it. Your vaginal walls hug the tampon and the string is attached to the bottom of the tampon, so it can't go far.
Again, due to the vaginal walls hugging the tampon and the cervix opening being super tiny (remember when you give birth it has to be several centimeters dilated and it takes many hours and much pain of labor to get there), it isn't going to get sucked up inside of you.
It won't get permanently stuck and it won't disappear up there. The first few times are the scariest, but in no time you'll be wearing them with ease. Just remember to use the smallest possible needed for your flow and change it often. Millions of women swim during their periods. When you are at the pool, look around. Every teen girl and woman flows once a month. Think of how many women around you must be wearing tampons along with you!

First buy the type with a plastic applicator, it will cause less pain when inserting. If you are in the half bent position (between standing straight up and sitting down), you'll have better access. Unwrap the plastic covers (if individually wrapped). Put your index finger on the string at one end and insert slowly with the other end. Push it up/in as far as it will go. Pull out the plastic applicator (if you have one). The plastic applicator only helps for ease of insertion. Pull it out and throw it away. You should be able to feel the string. That is what you will pull on when pulling out the tampon later on. Good luck. There should be directions on the insert inside of the tampon box.

I was scared my first time too but it will be OK! At first it will feel weird becasue you have never done that before. As long as you do it right you shouldn't feel it after a few minutes. Trust me once you start using them you won't want to go back to the alternative! Make sure you change it when it gets full and when your period starts to slow down still make sure you change it every so often because that is how you can get toxic shock syndrome but you should be OK as long as you do it right. Godd Luck!

It's completely safe.
It can't get lost as there's no place to get lost!
The gap to the womb is the size of a pin prick.
Just make sure you give the cord a good tug to see if it's strong. If it doesn't break your good to go!
I wouldn't worry about it, nothing will go wrong! you will forget it's there.

No, u cant lose it up there and it cant turn. so dont be worried about it getting lost.
To put it in just read the directions carefully and remember that when putting the tampon in that ur middle and thumb finger should touch ur body then push the tampon in or else it wont be in far enough.
good luck and ur welcome

there is no where it can get lost to be honest, its very easy make sure you buy ones with the applicator because they are easier and more hygienic to use just relax i find the best way is to stick one foot up on the bath or the toilet so you get your legs apart then go from there just remember when you at you worst use the super and as you start to finish use normal if you use super all the time then it will be harder to get in, just change every 4-6 hours.
Honest you will be fine and much better then a brick between your legs.

Don't worry hunny the first time is scary, as long as you read the leaflet you will be fine. It cannot get lost as there is nowhere for it to go, try not to tense up as it will be harder to insert. Perhaps try asking someone u trust like a female relative to give u some advice.
