Fade__Out	YES! Using tampons does not take away your virginity. Sex does. It's an old beliefe and its stupid for people to truly believe that, but your question is not stupid. I prefer tampons because they shorten the length of your period, help reduce cramps and are just more comfortable than pads...especially in the sweatty summer heat!! Was this answer helpful to you? slipknot_132004	yes, i am a virgin and use tampons, it might be a bit uncomfy at 1st. jsut relax. personaly, tampons! dont feel like u've pee'd your self and dont ahve that obnoxious bunched up pad to worry abt. and jsut remember, just cause u use tampons, dont make u not a virgin. there are lots of ppl that say that. and its not true. i would recamend using a plastic aplicator, and also slimer ones for 1st time. I've never tried tampons because I heard they can cause vaginal problems, so I've always stuck w/ pads. But it's all up to you- they're both perfectly fine to use for ur period. ?	Yes, you can. It was back in the day when they said no you cannot do it if you are a virgin but the answer is yes. You can call the number on the box and ask them or I believe that that the insert that comes in the box ( OB Tamponds) actually has that question answered in it. samiracat	NOT a dumb question, seems like a perfectly honest query. A virgin is someone, male or female, who hasn't had intercourse. There are a number of perfectly respectable nuns who use tampons for menstrual containment. I prefer tampons overall because of convenience, but they can be less comfortable in the last day or so of the menstrual cycle.
