You have the rest of your life to "enjoy" that experience. My ex girlfriend didn't get hers until about 5 months before her 18th birthday, and she was fine.

RELAX GIRL!! Some don't get their first period until they are 18!! you aren't abnormal, and being fed up, honey, you have no clue.... be glad you haven't started yet, it's a royal pain to deal with for the rest of your adult life. Better yet, make a copy of this little post of yours, put it on the wall in your bedroom, and refer to it when you start menstruating and having all the hassles that go with menstruation, give yourself a real good laugh then.

You are normal. Some people it just takes longer and you should be thankful for that!! No period, wow! Periods suck! And no hair under your arms that is awesome you are lucky! don't worry everybody is different and you don't have to have things happen at the same time as others! I wouldn't try to force it, not that i think you could just be happy with who you are right now!!

Nothing is wrong with you. You're normal. You're just a late bloomer. I got mine when I was 12 and I'm almost 15 now. It's nothing to look forward to. You'll eventually get it. Just be glad you didn't get it at such a younger age. Some girls get their periods when they are as young as 9!

lol you are normal. When people are in puberty, the go at there own pace. There really is no way for you to grow hair under your arms earlier. Just wit for it,it'll come. And as for your period, that should come soon too.If your period doesn't start by the age 20, then you have to see a doctor that will start it for you.

I would be grateful for the break if I were you. People usually gain weight once they start their period, so don't rush it. Bask in the young teen body you have that EVERY model is striving for. I'm sure it will start before college.

Many people who are active so much start their periods later, its a proven fact.. Not all the time though, but lots people who are active so much tend to get their period later. Trust me once you get your period you will be more fed up then you are now, its not a party, your not messed up if you dont get it by 16 see a gnyo or your regular doctor and see what they say, or if you are to anxious go to a gyno now.
-Hope this helps-

awe. everyone worries about this. YOU ARE SO NORMAL. my bestfriend didnt get hers until she was 17. stop worrying about it, feel lucky. once you have it, trust me you dont want it. (that counts for yucky armpit hair too!) I am also a dancer, and I got mine late too. When you dance, you are thinner than other because you're burning so much fat, and if you are of a lighter weight you dont get your period regularly or sometimes at all. dont worry about it, have fun in highschool, and feel lucky that you dont have to worry about the pms moodswings or the staining of underwear, i'm so jealous of you. lol. be happy, you are perfectly normal.

Some women are late bloomers, I wouldn't worry about it. When it's your time, all things will fall into place. So for right now, I would be happy I didn't have to worry about my "Aunt Flo".

Yes dear you still fit in the definition of normal. If you didn't have the secondary signs of puberty then that would not be the case but since you do you can by definition go until you are 16 without menses and still be normal. However, the presence of discharge is a sign that menses is not far. If I were you I would be thankful because when you finally get your period you will wish you didn't have it. The only good thing about a period is that it means you can reproduce. Sit back and be patient, enjoy your freedom from monthly bloat, pms, pads and/or tampons, cramping, messing up your clothes etc.

Sometimes women who exercise strenuously skip periods, ie; runners, dancers. If it would make you feel better, ask your mom to take you to a gyn.~bb

I was worried also. But I got mine when I was 13. I was so worried I wouldn't get my period but when I got it I was like I was stressing for no reason! I regret it all. You don't want to go through all that. The later the better. Trust me!

Puberty isn't the same for everyone. There are people who start to develop at a younger age and some at an older age than others. I suggest you don't try to force anything. And when its time, your period will start. But if you're really worried about it. You might want to talk to a doctor about it. A check up is always good. Then You'll make sure what exactly is going on and you won't be as worried. Trust me, you're normal. I don't think you need to worry about it until you've passed the teenage years, and if you still don't get it then, then there probably is something wrong. But right now, just be patient, besides...I don't think you'll enjoy having your period. Just enjoy your life without it while you still can.

I wouldn't be too worried, I have heard of girls who are late starters. Its still a good idea to head over to your family doctor to check things out. All teenage girls need to see their doctors anyway, especially when they're going through puberty.
