Sometimes acne can be caused by hormonal changes as well as bacteria from makeup, oily skin , wash face thoroughly but with Gentle cleansers, cleansing face with abrasive cleaners and regular soap can also cause acne, anything that clogs the pores will cause acne to form. |

Well, I'm not 100% sure but...This is what I know The pores on your skin when you are in your teens produce a larger amount of oils than usual. This is part of puberty. However, this body oil created would make it prone to bacteria. The bacteria can cause an infection which would then cause the pores on your skin to swell. In order to prevent this, you should try washing your face everyday to help rid of bacteria and remove some oil. If all fails, I guess you can use some of that acne cream stuff, though I never did so I don't know if it works or not. I suggest that if you do get acne, don't touch it! It will only cause it to be more infected. Just clean the acne with some soap and water and don't bother it. It will most likely go away on its own. I hope this information helped! See ya Later! |

What causes acne is trapped oil and dirt in the pores and underneath the skin. One thing that I recommend is Benzoyl Peroxide. It'll dry out the blemishes, and eventually they will go away. Also, don't pick at your face, or try and pop them; that only causes it to get worse, and can leave long-term scarring. - Tiff |

stress, genes, hormones, bad hygene, poor diet, not taking care of yourself. Sometimes you get acne just because.....not because of anything you are doing or not doing. If your young, hormones can play a huge role. People who have acne when they are young usually "grow out of it". Go to a dermatologist.....they are a better answer than a website. |

There are a lot of things that cause acne from dirt to stress to hormones to improper diet. The best way to stay clear is to avoid these things. here are some good steps to follow 1. exfoliate. I can't say enough how much this helps. It will clear your pores, and keep them small, also rince afterwards with cold water to make sure they close back up, otherwise the dirt will get right back in there! 2. Don't worry so much about your life. This is probably the hardest to follow, but the less stressed and worried you are about things the better your complexion will be. Just remember, whats done is done, move on to better stuff! 3.Eat fruit!!! Drink Water! If you eat a lot of fruit and drink a lot of water along with other healthy food choices there will be less oil in your body for the production of acne. Chocolate is a huge contributor to acne problems! If you do get a zit here is something helpful. put honey on a bandaid and put it over the zit, it will help to reduce swelling and often get rid of the zit. If any of these options do not explain your breakouts, it may not be zits but hives. This is often from skin irritation, believe me I know. you can get this from anything from a new piece of jewelry to a different laundry detergent! powdered detergent can sometimes irritate skin (this is what does it for me!!) |

1-hormones 2-improper diet 3-worry a lot 4-lack of water (which again acts as a cleanser) 5-when not cleaning the face regularly |

Hormones, clogged pores and oily skin. They key is to keep your face CLEAN, but dont dry it out either. Try to avoid touching your face with your hands, etc. Proactiv works awesome for acne! |

depending on your age and sex//for teenagers it is too much cereal, bread, sodas, and the bad things you like to love. get some Neutrogena bar soap and clean your face as directed. Neutrogena bar soap is the oldest facial product next to Noxzema. Neutrogena has upgraded to facial scrubs and foams// so if you like the bar soap try and upgrade |

well it's actually genetic. oily skin combination is what causes acne, and you're either lucky and dont have in your genes, or unlucky and just happen to have it and there isn't that much you can do about it. avoiding greasy foods will help a little bit but it wont get rid of all your acne. little tips: - scrubbing your face doesn't work: all it does it remove the oil, and therefore your skin fights to produce more oil and you end up with double oily skin. - touching your face will make it worse: bacteria also causes acne, so try not to touch your face/infected area too much. - moisturisers can help: if you get a good and decent moisturiser that is oil Free (Garnier or Clean&Clear) it will nourish your skin and help your skin be healthier. - Vitamin E: this will help give you healthier skin to combat the signs of acne, so try taking daily Vitamin E pills, it will help a little bit. - keep your hair out of your face: your hair is oily and greasy, even if you just washed it, it produces natural oil whether you like it or not, and the contact of the oil on your skin worsens sings of ance, so try to keep it out of your face. - makeup makes it worse: makeup (foundation) blocks up your pores and makes things worse, so dont try that. - dont pick your zits: they will make scars, and make them last a lot longer, you can try bio oil to get rid of the scars - it's non greasy. - relax: stress makes acne worse. dont ask why, something to do with hormones. good luck x |

Acne is caused by bacteria. I spent my 20's on antibiotics for acne - antibiotics like Minocycline, Erythromycin, Trimox. They worked wonders for my acne. What I learned in my 40's though was that I had been harboring chronic Lyme my entire life (also caused by a bacteria), and every one of the antibiotics I just mentioned treats both acne and Lyme! Are you sure you don't really have Lyme and acne is just a consequence of it? I got my Lyme from mosquitos and fleas. I'm testing positive for Lyme and babesia, but my doctor suspects bartonella, too. It's when the pores of your face get clogged with hardened facial oils, oils that are designed to keep the skin hydrated and flexible. Chocolate, tomatoes, greasy food, stress, and guilt can cause an excess of oil in the face, leading to excess acne. |
