There really is no treatment for sunburn since it is just a 1st degree burn. There is little chance for infection so no need for special ointments like flamazine etc.. A simple lotion/oil will soothe it and keep the remaining living skin cells hydrated. Bathe regularly to slough off the dead cells. Time is still the best cure.

You need to put aloe vera on it. or if you want the sunburns sting to go away faster take a shower as hot as you can stand it and it takes the heat out.

aloe vera gel
Also, Solarcane is a topical pain relief product.
Hint: Keep the aloe vera gel in the refrigerator for a nice, cool effect for the sunburn.
When away from home and aloe vera gel cannot be in the refrigerator or placed in the cooler with ice, aloe vera gel is still fantastic for sunburn.
I hope that this helps.sks

get a can of evaporated milk and apply it to your sunburn. i read this a long time ago and tried it on my niece. it really worked
also:
Immediate care:
Put cool compresses on the burn. Take an anti-inflammatory medicine such as Ibuprofen 600 mg four times a day. Gently apply Hydrocortisone cream to the burned area

I am red-headed and fair skinned so I know a little about being sunburned. The best relief I have found is to put oatmeal in an old sock and use that to bathe with. Use aloe afterward.

Brew enough tea bags to cover a considerable area of the sunburn and ice down to get the tea really cold. Place the cold, wet tea bags and/or a rag drenched in the tea over the affected area, keeping the bags and rags cold. If you can submurge the burned part of the body, do so into the tea. Do this for at least one hour as often as you can (3 or so times a day) until it fades. This works for second and third degree burns as well and will prohibit scarring! The tea works as an antioxidant and pulls the heat out of your body. It stops the pain temporarily also.
