My girlfriend has been breaking out in welt type,looking bumps all over her body...What might cause this???

kc	sounds likes hives, but I am not a dr. Check out her symptoms on www.webmd.com. I found out I had poison Ivy this summer from this website. sharonsmineonly	could be laundry soap. bath soap, dish soap, shampoo, perfume, powder, medicine, soo many things can give that reaction, try to think of any that are new to her. Good luck figuring it out and you might need to see a Dr for help if you cant or it doesn't stop...even allergies some times stop. Nicki	My mom has that. She will try on a new shirt or just run her hand over her skin, mostly on her upper arm and back and it will look like a welt. mandyrose143	I had this problem for a while. I am pretty sure that she has hives. I never found the reason for mine. It could be anything. Food, detergent, hairsprays. It doesn't matter if she has changed her diet at all. Sometimes, we obtain new allergies to products we have used for years. Sometimes, like mine, it was temporary. Tell her to buy some Claritin and see if that works. If it does, it is an allergy. If not, she should see a doctor. When I had hives, I took Zyrtec for a couple months. Then, I stopped taking it to see if I would get the hives back. They have never come back. It has been 5 years since then. My doctor was not sure if they were actually hives because, every time I went to the dr's office, they disappeared without a trace!
