willow_j_2004	Don't scratch! And Hydrocortisone spray works, and isn't that expensive. But there's no way to help them go away faster without either lots of self control, or parting with a few bucks for some anti-itch gunk. Also, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. But you probably aren't willing to shell out a couple bucks for bug spray, either. So to prevent mosquito bites, stay inside, or stay away from places where they live. Hope that helps. darkwillow	you may use over the counter "thingers" (cute term) to remove the itch and bumps. you could also try those chinese balms. or, to numb it, put ice over it. =) for added info... the itch caused by a mosquito "bite" is caused by an anti-coaugulant the mosquito puts on the area where it would attack. this prevents the blood from clotting(which will block its proboscis or sting). that anti coagulant is the cause for the itch we get when we're being victimized by the mosquito. it's our skin's way of telling us that we are allergic to that substance.
