this sounds really weird but use your fingernail and make an X in the middle and it won't itch and will go away over night

Don't scratch!
And Hydrocortisone spray works, and isn't that expensive. But there's no way to help them go away faster without either lots of self control, or parting with a few bucks for some anti-itch gunk.
Also, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. But you probably aren't willing to shell out a couple bucks for bug spray, either. So to prevent mosquito bites, stay inside, or stay away from places where they live.
Hope that helps.

I suggest this, coz it worked and proved doubly effective.
Rub a lime over the exposed areas of your body and sleep. lime helps to get the skin clearer and mosquitoes don even come near u. rub a little olive oil in the morning coz ur skin should not go dry.
two benefits
1. good skin(vitamin C-lime)
2. no bites

you may use over the counter "thingers" (cute term) to remove the itch and bumps. you could also try those chinese balms.
or, to numb it, put ice over it. =)
for added info...
the itch caused by a mosquito "bite" is caused by an anti-coaugulant the mosquito puts on the area where it would attack. this prevents the blood from clotting(which will block its proboscis or sting). that anti coagulant is the cause for the itch we get when we're being victimized by the mosquito. it's our skin's way of telling us that we are allergic to that substance.

You don't need those expensive products, clean with soap and water,or just wipe with water and pat dry, then apply deodorant on the bite.

several simple solutions work. Press, into it woth your fingernail two ways to creat an imprint in the form of an "X". this helps reduce the itch. Also an ice cube will numb it. finally, cover it with a bandage, if you have to, to prevent scratching the skin off...
