Go to a dermatologist. He'll use a cryotherapy freeze. Grab the tag with a tissue forceps, hit it with LiqOx (or whatever it is he uses) and awaaaay it goes.
If the tags are real small (less than 2mm at the base) you can even snip them off with a pair of sharp scissors or nail clippers. Make sure you have a bandaid and some anti-biotic ointment ready - you might get a drop of blood and you don't want the thing to get infected, no. Not much pain and quick.

you can suffocate them with the little round bandaids and when they are just about ready to fall off you can tie them off with a little knot of dental floss

I've had a few and just snipped them with my cuticle scissors. Its only a tiny piece of skin, it won't do anything bad to do it yourself.

Sharp pair of manicure scissors.
Pull the skin tag to stretch it, then whammo.
Only bleeds a tiny bit and then they're gone.

I've heard you can tie a piece of cotton round them & they fall off after a while, not sure you should try it though!
I would go to the doctor, he/she may freeze them off with liquid nitrogen.

I had some as a teenager. I just put tissue paper over them and tore them off. I wouldn't recommend this practice though. Go to your doctor and get a minor procedure done.

I saw a thing on Discovery Health where a dermatologist or aesthetician pokes them with a little needle (like electrolysis for hair) that runs an electrical current through the tags. They dry up and fall off in a few days. They can do a bunch in one session.
I don't know about pulling them off yourself. It's not like they're loose teeth. There's no Skin Tag Fairy. I say, go to a professional.

tie thread around the tag and knot it so it does not come off during your daily activities. After several days, the tag will lose circulation and the loose skin will fall off. Clean it throughly with alcohol. That has worked for people in the past.......

Your GP could remove them by simple excision (ie with scissors) or with cautery or cryosurgery. It is not generally considered to "do it yourself" do to the risk of bleeding and/or infection. You may like to try one of the preparations on the market,of which there are various types, but these are not considered effective in removal

I see my doctor about mine. He used to burn them off with a hot wire but now he uses liquid nitrogen. It doesn't hurt at all.

With sterile scissors if you don't mind a little discomfort and there is enough joining skin to stretch them away from your body. They don't have a blood supply so you won't bleed much.

Its best to go see a dermatologist. But my grandma just cuts hers off, it causes very little bleeding and pain.

if you pick them of you will bleed to death.
so pull them until ther are tight, get your mate to chop them off with a red hot knife to quartarise the bleeding.
No only kidding.
Dont you dare try this at home.
Get them removed at the hospital if they bother you or any of your close friends.

The best way would be to go to a dermatologist. They are professionals who will make sure the job is done right. As tempting as it may be, don't try to take them off yourself!

I went to a dermatologist and had some removed, he took tweezers, pulled, and cut with scissors.
It cost over $400 with the biopsy. The insurance company would not pay for removal becasue they are considered to be only a cosmetic problem. But since I had them removed, they had to be biopsied in case they were cancerous.
I saw this as a way to get more money out of me.

if they are stretchable, pull it and cut it off with sterile sharp scissors. you can also go to your dr. and they can either do the same procedure as i mentioned and add some medication to it to stop bleeding (if you do it yourself, just apply pressure to the area afterwards) or they will freeze it and it will fall off in 5-7 days.

I went to the doctor as I had a lot on my neck and he used an electric rod thing which burned them off and it did not hurt one bit.

Yes. Your GP can use liquid nitrogen on them (not as painful as it sounds), & they go within a week or 2. It may also be worth trying the new "freeze off warts" preparations that have come out recently - the worst that can happen is that it won't work. I used one for the first time yesterday (on skin tags) so I'm waiting to see the outcome.

Dr. Gott's medical column recommends covering the tag with clear nail polish once a day for several days, and the tag usually drops off on its own, and doesn't return.
