You could try lemon juice. I had freckles when I was little and read somewhere to use it to fade them.

In japan they have soaps and treatments to make you pale. Saw it in a magazine once, I don't know if it really works. One is called Likas Papaya Soap.

Exfoliate a lot to try to wash off and scrub the dead skin off. That will help to peel away the lawyers of a tan. Ironically, I'm trying to get a tan...*sigh* we never seem happy with ourselves do we?

Stay indoors and go swimming a lot and use aloe vera gel and rum it in all over your body and your tan will go away quicker from the combo of the clorine and the gel.
Good luck but I'm sure you look good with or without a tan.

Well, stay out of the sun, obviously. But if you find yourself outside a lot, make sure you keep your body covered. Wear big sunglasses and hats w/ brims. It is still going to take a while although if you have regularly pale skin, I'll bet your tan fades faster than those with darker complexions.

There is no way to "lose" it, just stay out of the sun and eventually you will "lighten" up!

You might have to see professionals but I'm thinking it would be pricey. But you usually lose the tan in a few weeks if you're not in the sun.

Pretty much stay out of the sun or the tanning booths.
If you go out then use a high SPF blocker so you skin will be minimized by the sun.
Learn to know your limits inside or outside.

I think everyone is right; stay out of the sun and it will fade soon enough.
I think it's very nice that you feel you look better "pale". Tan skin can be very beautiful, but so can porcelain skin, and I think it's a rare beauty that people don't often realize. Good for you :)

The answer is pretty simple: there is no way to "lose" a tan. The rate in which your tan disappears is determined by your Melatonin levels in your body, which will vary from person to person. If you have alot, your tan fades slower. The idea is as everyone else has said: don't add to your tan by prolonging exposure to the sun...stay indoors, and it will fade quicker than if you are exposed the sun.
