Allergic to money!?
|
Hi dear friends, one of our family friends is a cashier at a very busy store who deals with a lot of customers who mostly pay cash so she gets and gives a lot of money in the form of cash (coins and bills), she also has to count a lot of money on a daily basis. She has a very sensitive skin and recently her fingers have started hurting her a lot. As you know, bills and coins are often so dirty and she needs to wash her hands very frequently (several times a day), as a result of this, her fingers specially the inside tip of her fingers have become increasingly sensitive and allergic to money so she has a very big problem touching money and doing her job these days. Is there any way or any product she can use to help her deal with this problem effectively? Thanking you so much in advance for all your help and suggestions. Kind regards, Passenger

Hello,
Yes money is very dirty!! Drugs, fesses are only a couple things found on the common bill that we consumers handle every day, so I can just imagine what is going through her hands every day....
What about hand lotion, antibiotic lotion? At the reptile stores they sell it for the saminila (sp) that iguanas and other critters produce.
It would be nice if some kind of finger caps were out there? When you are in the bank next time ask them what they use. They handle money every day too?
Good luck I bet a lot more ideas will come out of your question.

Yes, those alcohol-based Antibacterial gels, like Purell. I know some people freaked about about germs that use them all the time. I am so NOT allergic to money.

money is disgusting it could have anything on it. Do you realize how many people touch a single piece of money. Use germ X. or any other hand sanitizer.

Have her carry a small bottle of Hand Sanitizer and use it frequently. She can even use it after she handles money in between customers. That would be my best answer. Also, have her check a dermatologist about this.

It could be the soap she's using. Since she washes her hands so often, it could be a reaction to the soap, or she could be rubbing them raw.
It probably isn't the money, if it isn't soap. It's probably the dirt ON the money. Her best bet would be to either wear gloves (although it would make counting the money very difficult) or to keep some instant hand sanitizer by her register to wash her hands every few customers.
If it is the money, it's the coins and not the green. The green is paper and linen, and if she is able to use paper and bedsheets, it isn't that.
