Acne is a reaction to something in your diet. Go to a good skin specialist and he/she will test you for whatever is causing it. My first reaction to your question was to tell you to quit drinking milk if you do. Milk is a large contributor to acne in many teens. I might also add ......hang in there. It is a temporary thing and will pass. |

Dont feel down. A LOT OF PEOPLE GET ACNE. Make an appointment with a dermatologist. You should see a change in a month or so. Pimples come and go. Dont take it tooooo seriously. |

This may not be what you want to hear. Stop focusing on how you look. No one has perfect looks, someone without acne might have small breasts, etc. No one cares about your acne but you, other people are wrapped up in their own problems. Instead, concentrate on being cheerful, fun to be around, honest, caring and interesting to talk to. If people like being around you because they feel good when they're with you, your acne will never be an issue. |

Hiya dear, i had the same problem, and was really annoyed. I had tried everything and probably spent £1000's on treatment that would never work. I came across this face mask from the chemist called 'Neutrogena 2 in 1 face and wash mask! Use this to wash your face! Also visit the doctor and ask him for some Zineryt, it contains antibiotics , which help reduce spots and keep them away, trust me, it does work. Use this 'roll on' type medication, along with the face wash above, and you will have clear skin within days! Hope everything works out for you! :D |

A rather extreme and I am afraid immature comment, acne is seldom terminal and you will be most fortunate if it is the worst disease you get as you go through life! All you seem to have tried is quack remedies, hardly ' everything '! Of course there are treatments, go see your GP, he can offer topical or oral antibiotics together with degreasers. if these don't ' cure ' acne they will undoubtedly improve it. |

Don't say that For products.Try the excellent formula of Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. Originally formulated for dermatologists, it is now recommended whenever the mildest cleanser is required- I personally use it daily. I still have pimples though I'm well over my teen years.Even with all the acne-preventing products in the market I still find myself having breakouts, either occasionally or regularly. While acne is not a serious skin condition it causes loss of confidence. After all, complexion is one of the first things people notice about me. Somehow, other people also associate a pimple-ridden face with being untidy. Well all I can suggest if you have any acne problems, are these zip-zapping sites: Maybe this might interest you. http://www.proactive.com http://www.cureforacnes.com http://www.acne.or.g |

Firstly don't clog up your skin with loads of foundation this will not help! and you think its bad having acne for 3 months - try 5 years! there isn't really a cure but if you go to your gp or a dermatologist you can be prescribed with different pills and gells that will massively reduce the appearance and number of spots. Just make sure you don't pick or scratch spots/scabs as this will cause scarring. don't let it stop you going out - loads of people have acne. go to your gp - they will have something to help you i promise. |

Go and see your doctor. My son has had it three years. I took him to the docs, he gave him cream and tablets - it`s all but gone now. |

If it's reallyl bad you may need Tetracycline which will help but it does have side effects like teeth staining. My advise is not to try and cover it up with make up because it looks worse. If your young you will grow out of it probably as your body is going through so many changes. Stay strong and don't let your self esteem go down the tubes. Hang in there it will get better... |

Acne is different from pimples. Acne can scar your skin. So if u get acne you have to see a skin specialist and he/she will give u injection on the face. The first action is to cure the outbreak. Outbreak of acne can be cause by food we take or hormones (menstration/puberty/stress) As for your doctor he/she most probably will prescribe to you a course of antibiotics (remember to complete the whole course) As for your body you have to take detoxification measures. There are many good products for detox available on shelves. There are also very effective chinese medicine to cure inflamation like Antiphogistic tablets. Remember to wash your pillow case and sun your pillows too. Do some light exercise in the morning and some persiration will open up your clogged pores and it will make you become younger in a week. Good luck. Do see a good doctor quickly or you have to live with scars problem which is very expensive to treat. |

it will get better believe me. i was bullied so bad through out my teen years, called pizza face etc, my acne was terrible. but for some people its just a issue that has to faced and gotten thru. I tried everything and nothing worked for me. Foundation just aggravates the problem so don't bother. Don't stay in, lots of people have the same problem and feel the same way. It's the beauty within that matters and if there are people that cant see that then it's their problem. You are a beautiful person regardless of the acne and when your older you'll realise that it wasn't such a big deal. I'm 29 now and got flawless skin and a lot of the People that bullied me back then cant say the same. Hope there are people that can give you tips on getting rid of it, I just wanted you to know that you were made in God's image and he loves you cos your beautiful to him and im sure to many others and your worth it.x |

First, eat right. Eat as if you were a diabetic trying to lose weight and control blood sugar - we would all be much healthier if we ate that way. Go to diabetes.org for more info. Second, you may just need a prescription acne med, some people do. There is a world of difference in the over the counter stuff and the prescriptions, but you may have to try several different kinds to see which one works best for you. See a dermatologist about it. Also, make sure that anything you put on your face is oil Free. If a cosmetic product does not specifically say oil Free on the label, avoid it. And try Clearasil face wash for sensitive skin, it's in a large stand-up tube. It has no acne medication in it, but it has the same active ingredient used in Antibacterial soaps. |

Above with what everyone else said, are you prone to horrible sore throats and colds and such? I don't think you are, but this was the situation with one of my best friends. For years she has had the worst acne that couldn't be covered with foundation either. She did try proactiv and all sorts of other treatments - went to a dermatologist and everything. In 7th grade she contracted mono. Ever since then, she has always had horrible colds, sore throats, and acne. Considering she's an aspiring opera singer, this was not good. They didn't found out what it was until her freshmen year of college (at Peabody!! Sorry, I'm so proud of her). From the mono, the bacteria and weakened her tonsils, and the bacteria never left, just remained dormant until she started getting sick and would flare back up. Our tonsils are meant to catch bacteria and kill it. Well, her tonsils basically died with all the bacteria. Since the bacteria had nowhere to go, it would form under her skin giving her the horrible acne she suffered. She had to have her tonsils removed and is now on various vitamins to keep herself healthy since she no longer has the tonsils to keep the bacteria out, but now there is nowhere in her body for bacteria to lay dormant and infect her skin so horrible. Her face is so much clearer now - she just has the regular small amounts of acne that all teenagers/young adults are plagued with that are easily solved with Neutrogena face wash. I don't that's the answer, but I'm just throwing that out there incase. Good luck! Please try to see a dermatologist - if you already have, try another one who might have other solutions. |

Right well the first problem is: If you had that oily of skin to cause this huge acne, Tea Tree Oil might not have been the best solution. And sometimes Proactive doesn't work, but the 3 step things are best for keeping your face clean after you get rid of acne. I had the same problem with acne on my chest, it just wouldn't go away, but my face is nice and clear. Try this: ByeBye Blemish. You can get it at any Sally's salon store or you can probably get it online or something. 1.) Anti Acne Clenser - scrub your face with that at night and in the mornings, making sure to pay attention to like the corners of your nostrils and such (I get zits there)... Dry your face off. 2.) ByeBye Blemis Drying Lotion: Oh... OH this stuff is like.... I couldn't live without it. make sure never to shake it. Take a Q-Tip and gently dip it in through the clear portion into the pink portion and dab it onto the infected (zits) area. Yeah it may burn... But you'll atleast notice it in the morning. Make sure to scrub your face in the morning to remove all the dead cells, I use a loofa especially for my face. I don't mean like ... scauld it with a lava stone, I mean just nice and gently enough to get stuff off your face, and let your skin breathe a while BEFOOORRE you put on makeup. Your skin may be a bit dryer after this whole process- should you decide to try it. So there's a special kind of face lotion that doesn't add too much to it, apply it in the morning before you put on your makeup- let it dry. For your nose, use Biore blackhead strips. The most important thing to remember is variety. Your skin will start rejecting things if you use them for too long in a routine. |

I get acne alot also. I would recommend just use water and soap. Thats what i do, and most of the time it helps out a lot. If that doesn't work i would suggest seeing a doctor about it. A doctor would be able to give you the best answer about this. It all depending on the chemical balance in yourself. |

proactive doesn't work for everyone. my friend broke out even more when he used it. try not eating so much junk food or anything that is high in oil. drink alot more water. my mom always buys aloe plants and cut it in half and use the gelly stuff inside and put it in a jar and squish it with something to make it look liek jam. put it on your face every night because aloe is known for healing. |

I know how you feel, i deal with them as well and it sucks :( well i've had them since i was 10........it could just be in the genes, did your parents have a lot of acne when they were young, that could be a possabiliy. It could just run in the family. You should ask them. Mine's used to be really bad but they've cleared up now and you cant even tell they're there, when you get older they disappear, hopefully they will for you too. i'm 17 now so by the time im 20 they should all be gone, i am actually trying something out different with my pimples, i rub ice on them for 15 minutes, then i compress them with a warm towel for another 15 min so that should help, do everything you can, change your pillow case, avoid chocolate, soda, and greasy foods as best as you can, dont touch your face, germs can easily attach themselves on your face, and always use any acne Treatment you have, at least apply it once or twice a day, ive done that and it works for me :) dont nelgect to take care of your face, you may want to visit a dematologist, pimples are also caused by pms, so just see what you can do =) good luck! |

WOW, I've read a whole lot of rubbish as far as answers to your query go. Basically, the more crap you cover your acne with, the less chance there is of it healing well. Just continue to eat well, drink enough water, get plenty fresh air, exercise heaps and maintain an active social life with your girlie buddies. Do wash often enough to avoid infection, but not so much that you dry your skin out...you do need to have a certain level of your natural oils on your skin. I know it can cause distress and - although it seems like ages - in a few years your skin will settle down and you will re-discover your natural beauty. Please do not go overboard with covering make-up or hormonally based medication. Also.......DO NOT PICK AT THE SPOTS/SCABS !!!!!!!! It is a natural part of life and maturation......some people get really bad BO, some get really hairy, some get acne. Just think yourself lucky that you have acne which will go....it's better than being stinky and hairy ;P |

Honey Im 26 and Ive had acne forever!!! Now there is a difference between ACNE and pimples. Are the areas small and bubbled or hard lumps under the skin? I hope you dont have cystic acne. But just wash your face twicwe a day with Oxy. This doesnt work for me but its my last resort until I can afford micro-dermabrasion which is NOT the same as the microdermabrasion home kits!!!! Try to get to a dermatologist and remember youre young and it can be hormonal and it MAY go awat eventually. Mine didnt because of somer health issues Ive had and my HORMONES!! Good luck!....Oh! Try Covergirl clean make up with the BLUE cap! Its clean and thicker than the other. Also Neutrogena make-up with salysillic acid in it and ALMAY is GOOD! |

Try washing your face with baking soda and using unfiltered apple cider vinegar mixed with water 50/50 as a toner. Yeah it smells bad but for me it worked and was worth it. This really helped balance the PH in my skin and I've heard excellent reviews from other people. |

I don't know how old you are and if your parents are willing, try using birth control pills. Ortho Tr-Cyclen works for acne. You don't have to be having sex to use them but it really does work for it. I've used it and always had a good complection. Hope you find something that works. Good Luck |

go to your doctor sweetie...they have some fab stuff now. I work in the beauty industry and the only thing that will cure acne is antibiotics or the pill. Your GP will be able to help you! some treatments take a while to work but it's worth it :) |
