These days, there is much more testing and use of condoms in the porn world. Many of our most famous porn stars do not actively participate in actual hard core sex (many 'retire' young and go into softcore, as opposed to the 70s where anal sex was all the rage, and many people stayed in the hardcore industry for longer than what was necessary). Testing all the time is fine "if" it detects it but if one has the virus and the results show as negative they are still possibly passing it on. Which was the case in the scenario above. And as with real life, all it takes is having sex with one infected partner. So the numbers are irrelevant. One could have sex with 3 or 300 people but it's number 4 or 301 that does them in. The previous partners don't matter at that point.
