No harm in getting a test. But the question is, is he adamant about it, and why?

Yes, although it's funny that he waited until after you were married to ask you to take the test. If you have had a sexual contact with at least one person, it's a good idea to get tested. If you have had sexual contact with anyone else before your husband and haven't been tested before you got with your husband, it is smart to get tested. Hell, make him get tested! There's no harm in being too careful with things like that.

Judging by your other question about sleeping around, I'd say he is very wise to do so.

Absolutely not. It is a little-known fact that people who are tested for STD's are more likely to contract them.

Not as if it'll hurt anything - do it.
Besides, if you do, unfortunately, have a STD, you'll hopefully have caught it early enough that's it not damaging.

Sound like someone has jumped the fence, and he wants you
to get tested, to find out who gave him the "itch. "U or other."

If he is asking, there must be a reason. Yes, go and get the test. Maybe he knows something that he doesn't want to tell you unless you test positive......

Either he thinks you have something to hide, or he fears he's given you something he received from a 3rd person. Remember, when you have sex, you have sex with EVERYONE your partner has ever had sex with. Better safe than sorry.

yes. there are some std's that don't always show symptoms. plus if they go untreated they can cause major problems including infertility. it can only help you. there's nothing to be nervous about, especially if you have been safe.

Sure why not if you have nothing to worry about and it keeps him at peace of mind...maybe he could be trying to tell you something in a discreet way ........

Why not? Though many of these are tested regularly at your annual Pap, so if you've been faithful, then there's no reason. HIV and hepatitis would be exceptions though. You'll have to request those specifically.
Oh, and he may as well get the gummut of tests too.

Why? Did you cheat? Otherwise, you would have gotten it from him-- he can get the test. (Unless you might have gotten something before you were married. Then you both need to get tested-- people can carry STDs and give them others without being affected themselves).
If you cheated, yes, you pretty much have to get the test.
Simple.
