my friends doctor said that you could get it from dirty private parts dont quote me on it but im sure there are other ways to get it search hpv online and youll get a definite answer

My friend said she caught HPV from a toilet seat but I am not really sure.
Here is the facts:
Human papillomavirus (HPV) affects both females and males. HPV transmission can happen with any kind of sexual, genital contact with someone who has HPV—intercourse isn't necessary.
Many people who have HPV don't even know it, since the virus often has no signs or symptoms. That means HPV transmission can happen without anyone knowing it.
There are about 6 million new cases of genital HPV* in the United States each year. It's estimated that 74% of them occur in 15- to 24-year-olds.
So I guess it is possible to catch it from some where other than sexual contact.

are you sure the woman was diagnosed with HPV or just as a carrier for the HPV virus? Those are two different things. Lots of women are carriers

NO, it doesn't. There are around 60 strains of HPV and you do NOT have to have sex to contract them. It is a virus which is usually cleared by the body on its own in two years or less. Some strains can be contracted from using a towel, not laundering it, hanging in a humid place and using repeatedly. Get more information on the strain and all possible ways to contract it before you accuse your mate of being unfaithful.

In the case of HPV, no. HPV can be contracted through nonsexual contact. My mother's gynecologist told her that because it's a virus that takes place in the form of warts, it can be spread via handshakes and other nonsexual forms of touch. The HPV virus is already present "ON" pretty much 100% of the human population.. it is like a skin condition that we pretty much all have regardless of whether we have had sex or not.
The fact of the matter is that HPV becomes an STD when it gets transmitted internally... for examples say when two virgins have sex, the male will basically be pushing the already existing condition that is present on the external skin of the female, into her vagina... and thus internal HPV.
So, technically I imagine you could never have sex with a person and instead use sex toys, and still have a chance of contracting HPV from yourself.

I guess so? Unless they were born with it, or lied about not type of sexual contact in the past thing.... Maybe they had sexual contact but no sex, and it was so minimal that they ddint want to mention it? Hmm....
