I have lots of those too that have just developed. I think they are cysts. They run in my family.

it can be either a cyst or an ingrown hair. it could also be a boil. if it is painless and hard, i would say that it probably isnt cancerous. can you move it around? if it doesnt move too much, i would think maybe it is a tumor. if you are really concerned about it, have your doctor check you out - in the worst case scenario, your doctor can take a sample of the cyst and have them test it for any cancer or disease, that way you know one way or the other what is going on.

It definitely doesn't sound like an STD. It sounds more like a cyst or something, possibly cancerous. I would have your Dr. check it out ASAP.

It sounds like a fibrous cyst I would have it looked at by your doctor as it can and will most likely keep growing. Your Dr will probably lance it to drain the bile/fluid from it

I'm trying to figure out if you would call this a lump in the groin - which could be lymph nodes? Another possibility could be an ingrown hair. If it doesn't hurt there is no infection. You do need to get it checked though. Most likely it is something really simple and easily taken care of. Make an appointment to see a doc. Take care.

I have had something that sounds simular , it comes and goes. Mine is an ingrown hair , and nothing to worry about . I have to squeeze it between my thumb nails to get it out . I am not recomending that you try this without asking a Dr. {but I did } Mine like I said comes and goes at least once a year. I guess it just gets irritated .

Sounds like a swollen lymph gland. Have you had a recent infection? Keep an eye on it and if it gets bigger, go to a clinic to have it checked out.

yes, a best friend of mine had one closer to the vagina-they are cysts and believe it or not, very common in that area of the female body as there are alot of glands down there. your physician should be able to extract it. don't worry.

Called lymphadenapathy, general word for enlarged lymph node. You have a whole bunch around your groin, neck and armpits. Normally you should not be able to feel them unless they become enlarged from an infection or cancer.
Now for the good news. Yours is probably nothing. Doctors aren't concerned about them until they become the size of an olive. Yours is probably prominent from a possible yeast infection or some type of inflammation.
Even though you and your boyfriend have been monogamous, I am assuming you both have has prior relationships. This does not mean that you might have become infected with something before you met each other. For example, symptoms of herpes or genital warts might not show for several years after infection.
If it worries you, go have your doc check it out. In the mean time, just watch it, any changes, definitely go running to your doctor.

When you call your doctor, do you think she'll be able to tell you over the phone why you have a lump?
Hopefully you realize that your doctor would have to conduct a thorough exam, and then probably some tests, before even venturing a guess as to what that could be.
So how the hell are we supposed to tell you what that is?
