Why am I still sick, what is going on with me here?

Kate	When I went through some of the similar symptoms, I went the hospital because I missed like a straight week off school and all I did was sleep. I was always cold but I was running a fever. But the hospital said nothing was wrong with me. But then a few days later they called back and said I have strep throat. Well they prescriped me meds and they didn't help. So 2 weeks later I went to our medical center to my doctor. To find out I had walking inmonia(sp?). I was close to dying the doctor said. He had me on about 5 medications and called frequently to check on me. I was sick for 2 1/2-3 months. Now every year I get bronchitis. Kind of sucks. Do you still have your voice? I know when I was sick, I couldn't talk unless I strained my voice and even then you could barely understand me. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

kitkatish1962	Just do a follow up with your doctor. sometimes healing hurts. I had the same thing. I used an inhaler and it helped open my lungs up. You also might need a steroid. But only your doctor can tell you what is best. but you need to be proactive too. Remember they are only practicing. Was this answer helpful to you? Yes / No

Mikey	I had a bout of Bronchitis that lasted about a month. Yes, it was awful. I started to eat more protein rich foods and slept way more than usual and that seemed to tip my immune system back into victory. If you are a smoker, that won't help you at all. Also, you need to make sure you are eating really well and drinking plenty of water. Chronic bronchitis is a pain in the *** so I hope you feel better soon. It may be time to go to your doctor and see if there is something else that is preventing you from getting over it, or maybe they can prescribe you something. Was this answer helpful to you? Song1964	Sounds like a repeat trip to the doctor is in order. What you are describing sounds like a pneumonia or pleuritis. You ned to get an xray so they can know for sure what is going on inside thos lungs. If you do not get satisfaction from one doctor, go to another.
