It doesn't kill you. Go to a doctor. You will get medication and it will go away.
Pleurisy comes from there not being enough lubrication around the membranes over the lungs (pleural viscera). This reduces friction on the lungs making it very painful.
You will be fine

pleurisy alone will not kill you. Its the complications that can. Becoming Septic (a blood infection), and pneumonia are some this that can cause death. The time varies on the severity of the case of the Complication.. A few day to a week.

If it's caused by a bacteria? It'd be hard to say. Any infection can kill you if left untreated.
I suppose it all depends on your immune system. Infection would kill a baby or someone with HIV faster than a healthy adult.

Pleurisy is not a disease within itself, it is a condition. That being said, it depends on the cause of the pleurisy, many things can cause it, the most common being an infection like pneumonia or tb, if untreated those can become serious illnesses and life threatening fairly quick. Both are very easily treated with modern day antibiotics. So in short it depends on the cause, no one can give you a time frame with the information you provided us with.
