Hi, I have a question about smoking?

Alright, well I started smoking in November of 2007 when I was 14, now I am 15 and I've been trying to quit off and on. I haven't been a regular smoker just socially, but I can tell I am slowly getting addicted, and I have been smoking cigarettes.
I can remember lots of times in this 10 month span that I did not smoke at all for 1-3 weeks and twice I did not smoke for a month.
When I smoked socially I smoked on average one cigarette a day socially.
But I did not smoke every time there was a social smoking opportunity.
I can remember a few times where I smoked five cigarettes in those social situations.
Now I have decided to stop smoking socially all together, and I am wondering how much damage I've done to my lungs and will they recover?

Everyone, thanks for the advice, but stop telling me how bad it is for me and to quit and the side effects because I already know.
I am quiting after all.

It will do really bad damage to your lungs if you continue and you could even die! it is unhealthy can cause cancer and lung deasies it is all together bad quit so you can be more healthy. Don't do it it is a filthy habbit get an interest instead of smoking. Your teeth can rote and turn yellow and fall out. Your skin can get affected. You can lose brain cells. it is bad. cigs are made up of rat poision and other crap quit and be happy and healthy smoking leads to no good!

its only minimal damage but you should stop before you physically become addicted. if you dont, it literally physically hurts when you dont have a cig if u need one and you dont want to get to that point.

Don't worry about it -- you haven't smoked enough to have any significant effect on your life expectancy. In fact, at this rate, you could smoke for years without much of an effect on your health. The danger is that you'll end up smoking more.

You've probably done very little damage, though smoking affects individuals in different ways. Good for you on quitting. It is the single healthiest decision you can ever make.
