This happens to me alot but I don't have tuberculosis or whooping cough....I do have asthma and bronchitis...but if this has happened to you do you know why or even if this hasn't happened to you can you help me find out why? Is it a lack of oxygen that makes it seems like everything is fading away? If it is a lack of oxygen then is this harmful for me? PLEASE HELP!!!

i dont know if this is the same as what has happened to u, but when i am at that stage where you can feel that u are going to have an asthma attack, i start to cough loads until i use my inhaler enough. u said that u were asthmatic so i dunno if this is whats happening to u.

This happened to me when I was a kid and got a terrible case of bonchitis. I would cough so hard and for so long in each round of coughing that I wouldn't be INHALING enough to provide oxygen to my brain.
The good news is, the moment you pass out, you also tend to stop coughing. The bad news is, you also pass out, which can be dangerous if you whack your head.
You need to go to a doctor about this. This is not normal and both bronchitis and asthma can be treated which may help with your cough.

I have had this happen with an excessively "productive" cough that clogs my throat, but I always pull thru. After that, I'll try to intentionally hock up all I can. Get yourself kind of bent over so far that your lungs are above your mouth, and start coughing. You'll clear out so much slag that you'll be safe for a couple of days.
