toothpaste. Believe it. Every time I burn myself (pyro) I put tooth past on them. I once did the almost same thing. Andit left me with a very small scar and the burrning went away within moments. Mint or orange flavor works the best. NOT cinimon.

Ice is the best thing. Keep it on there to help numb it. If it is blistering or anything you may need to go to the Dr. Also, you can take Tylenol or Advil or something like that for pain. Take 2 or 3.

if you have an alovera plant thats good,
Cool the burn. Hold the burned area under cold running water for at least five minutes, or until the pain subsides. If this is impractical, immerse the burn in cold water or cool it with cold compresses. Cooling the burn reduces swelling by conducting heat away from the skin. Don't put ice on the burn.

Don't use ice!!! You need to put a cool compress on it (run a washcloth under cool, not ice cold water). Then rub some aloe on it.

It all depends on how bad the burn is. Ice is great and highly advised. I know it sounds crazy but if your doctor has an emergency help line contact him/her for immediate answers. Also, here is a link that helped me:

The burn may be bad enough that you need medical attention.... if not, or until then, you should keep it cool, and then try some aloe. Take some Tylenol, or some other pain reducer. The last time I had a burn, I put my hand in some ice cold water, and the pain went away pretty fast... I will burn again when you take it out of the cold water, so take some Tylenol now.... GL

Tepid water (cool but not cold). The cold water and ice actually shock the system and do not help to relieve the pain-- you want to bring the area back to room temperature so tepid water is the way to go. If your skin is bubbling or broken then I suggest you get your butt to a treatment center or emergency room for further treatment.

Honestly, I have burnt my fingers a couple of times. First in the beginning sooth-It with ice. After a while try just letting your fingers in some cold air. You'll get used to it (It's what I did since for me atleast the ice doesn't help after first 5 minutes.

Just run under cold water till the pain eases, then check to see if it needs further treatment.
DON'T use butter, toothpaste, or indeed anything else, until it's looked at by a Doctor.
Hope it's not too bad.

1. Cold Water
2. If you have access to razor burn cream *like the ones for shaving* that'd be great.
( Fully rub it in as best you can )
3. Don't put ice on the hand!!!
4. Get a cloth ( Thin cloth ) wrap around the burnt hand and try not to move it much for awhile!
I feel for you i really do
Get well soon eh

I had a situation like this where I burned the area between two fingers when trying to put potatoes in the pot roast because I forgot to do it before they went in the oven.
I kept applying ice to the area every 10 minutes and showed it to my gynecologist at the same time I was there for her to check something else and she gave me a cream for it. I also used aloe vera (fresh aloe vera but you can find aloe vera gel in the stores like Wal-Mart if you don't have access to an actual plant close by to cut one of the older leaves off of) and Vitamin E oil.
I would also recommend going to your regular doctor so they can check it out to see if it needs to be cleaned. The cream, ice, Vitamin E oil, and aloe vera helped heal the burn for me and now it's hard to tell that there's a scar there.
If you have other questions for me please feel free to e-mail or IM me off site any time.

Run your hand under cold water. When ur done doing that get an ice pack. Put a cloth around the ice pack first (paper towel), b/c ice packs can make the damage worse if not used properly. Avoid ice cubes.
