When a medication says it can cause liver damage, it means when the drug is seriously abused. If you were to take a fist full of them, you would have to worry... Or if you took extras on purpose for an extended amount of time, over time your liver would give you trouble. You will be more groggy (or high) from the extra Codeine, but you will be okay. No driving or working with heavy machinery, haha. Just wait the 4 hours like normal. You can't let yourself go too long, or the withdrawals come on and you feel like you need more to kill the pain. No stress, but if you are worried call your doctor. Good luck!!

I would call your pharmasict to make sure. I would think that since you took them at least 2 hours apart it will be fine. You may be drowsy from the Codeine though.
Your pharmasict is your best source for information.

just make sure you wait 6 hours before the next, if you notice any unusual symptoms, wait a bit longer.

you should be fine just keep a close eye on yourself over the next few hours and make sure you try and have something to eat and drink plenty of water, if you notice anything unusual then ring nhs direct on 0845 46 47 and ask they're advice. they may suggest you make an emergency appointment at your doctor (don't let them tell you that they don't have any as every gp surgery has to make allowance for 3 emergency appointments a day.) i hope you feel ok and don't encounter any problems.

call your pharmacist and ask the same question.
He.she will know the other meds you are taking, to see if there is any reasons that this might cause a unique problem.

I too have done this by accident, I was fine, Codeine is actually less harmful to the body than Paracetamol. Just try and wait 6 hours before you take another dose and make sure eat something to help stop you feeling nauseated (Codeine can make you feel like this). best wishes x
